At least it's better than the metallic mustard coloured one I've seen on the roads round here.... but I agree, a nice dark blue metallic...

The wheels aren't a patch on the concepts Hope they offer those wheels as a an option as in my opinion they made that car look 'complete'. Also hope they offer the chrome filler cap as this looked good on the concept. I'm quite high on the list but will need to drive one before I swap my 997 S for one. Not sure if it's lost a little something from the concept?... Need to see more pictures in a proper colour - that yellow does not suit the car at all!

Yep, but well down it (end 07 probably), but that suits me as I need to do a bit of saving
plus get my 987S next month. But have put a specualtive deposit down for the Volante version too, if they do make one (delaer says won't but took my cash) and run to normal form I'd probably be able to get that first.Have you had a chance to see one in the flesh - they've been on the road near Thruxton having been doing shakedowns at the circuit.

Interesting... My dealer wouldn't take a deposit at all on the volante version - said there are no plans for it. However he said if they do make it existing coupe owners will have priority and have first chance at one. I'm number 29 at the dealer - my father also has one on order and we paid Pounds5000 deposit each about 5 months ago... Not sure if the dealer was spinning a line or not but said he would get 50 cars this year. I think he said he had several hundred letters of intent. Oh well just have to wait and see now. How much deposit did you put on the coupe and the volante?

That's interesting - put Pounds3000 down per car (fully refundable until spec), about no 160 on their list. Dealing with Lancasters Reading but am thinking about having a call around to see if anyones waits are shorter. Judging by your comments they may be as I put my deposit down almost 3 months ago. Which dealer are you working with?

Sorry didn't make that very clear - put in a letter of intent over 2 years ago - only paid the deposit when requested for it. I don't think your dealership should take a deposit if your're that far down the list - they will have your money for best part of 3 years at that rate!

Ahh, don't feel so bad about it now. Yeah, was surprised when they wanted the full deposit - especially for a car that may not even be made, but they've got us by the short and curlies on this one - and wanted them to be sure I was serious - I'm sure there are a lot of speculators about.
Last year a friend of mine when to complete the paperwork on his DB9, been waiting forever, and the dealer asked him if he 'really' wanted the car - there was another punter who was prepared to offer him Pounds25K over list to have his. Now my friend had really did want the car, but wasn't stupid, so walked away Pounds25K richer and bought himself a Bently Conti GT - some people

Indeed not stupid at all
Plus the Conti GT is pretty good choise too. Could have gone for an almost brand new DB9 too I guee. Very sensible choice in any case.

I like those doors, very nice.
But I agree with you guys, why that color?
The car looks nice, but as it has been said, DB9 owners will be disappointed that there is not more model differentiation between the two I think.
Also, the prod version looks a bit less aggressive than the Concept, shame... But still very nice!
