How do you want to "adapt" it?
The Cargraphic exhaust may be loud but the Porsche sport exhaust (IF it sounds like the 996 PSE and the 997 PSE prototype I heard a while ago) has that specific classic 911 roar and this is actually what I want from a 911 sport exhaust. None of those sport exhausts actually provide more power, unless you add a set of high flow cats to the whole thing.

To my knowledge, the 997 Carrera S sport exhaust will is "adapted" to the Helmoholtz Resonator and the flap control is also electronically controlled.

Will it fit the 997? I doubt it.
To my knowledge, the 997 Carrera S sport exhaust will is "adapted" to the Helmoholtz Resonator and the flap control is also electronically controlled. I don't have details yet but from what I heard, there is no real chance to adapt it to the 997 Carrera (not S!). A possibility would be to try to adapt the 996 PSE but I don't have a clue either if this is possible. But chances seem to be better. And of course I can't say anything about power/torque influence, this may prove to be a problem too.
So for a 997 Carrera (not S!), the Cargraphic exhaust might be a good alternative to the PSE. At least until somebody comes up with a modified 996 or even 997 PSE version.

I mailed my dealer on Thursday re. PSE availability and have just been informed that there is no production information available from the factory.
My dealer did confirm that there will be extra charges to retro fit PSE.
Has anyone here been offered a option price retro fit???

I heard that a lot of german dealers and international dealers are offering retrofits of the PSE (when available) at the same cost as if it would have been installed at the factory on a new car. Ask for it, it would be only fair.

My dealer agreed to install it for $2400. They will put this in writing when I pick up the car. They also gave me the hard top on the 997s Cab for free which is $2300 worth.
