steelested:Oh great news
Let's hope it works because if it doesn't, a full shutdown will be the consequence.

RC:steelested:Germany now shut for November won’t help timing.
Germany has a shutdown "light", factories are still working, only restaurants/bars/clubs and amusement parks/public swimming/etc. are closed. Even hairdressers are still working.
The plant shutdowns earlier this year in German is affecting U.S. sales as Lexus is now outselling the German Three for the first time in a decade. There's no supply on-hand at most U.S. dealerships of many strongly selling models. Another shutdown will be devastating for the German economy and could implications for years to come.

Gauss:Gauss:Show that rear bumber already!
Now that I have seen the photos at home (saw them on the phone earlier), I think that this IS the rear bumper... if so, then I need to look at it many many times to get myself to like it (conditioning)
We will need to see the car in another colour to get a better idea of how that rear bumper looks...

CGX car nut:The rear wing looks better and better every time.
It‘s amazing how opinions can differ! I think it still looks absolutely hideous.

Porsche 992 GT3 will have a new “Active Rear Diffuser” as previewed here exclusively on Rennteam...

Maybe not yet convinced of the technology from this photo detail?
How about a little background information on the Porsche Active Rear Diffuser Patent...
“Porsche Aims To Clean Up Aero With Active Rear Diffuser Patent”
Many of Porsche’s models already feature active deployable rear wings, and a new patent suggests that a similarly functioning diffuser could arrive on future vehicles. Porsche initially filed for this on September 27, 2016, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office published it on April 27, 2017.
According to Porsche’s filing, active diffusers underneath a vehicle already exist, but apparently they are “highly cumbersome with regard to installation and integration in the underbody region”. Where the company’s new design differs is that the diffuser would move directly below the bumper. It would even have a concave inner shape so that the aero element would blend into the body when not in use.
When active, the extended diffuser would effectively direct the air along an elongated section of the tail for tweaking the vehicle’s aerodynamics. Depending on the layout, Porsche imagines that there could be multiple flaps along the rear of the vehicle, and they might function independently. “The embodiment that runs over the entire width of the rear end may be implemented, for example, in vehicles without exhaust-gas tailpipes, such as electric vehicles,” the company’s filing said.
Porsche’s newly patented tech is somewhat similar to the Aereodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) active aerodynamic system on the Huracán Performante. In that case, there is a flap in the front bumper and a second near the rear wing. The elements can adjust for low drag and high downforce layouts, and they can even also focus traction over the inner wheels during cornering.
Patent filings are never a guarantee that tech is actually on the way, but this seems like a system that would be perfect for Porsche’s sports cars. Models like the 911 GT3 could benefit from the aero adjustments on a track. Even lower trim vehicles could make use of this for improving the way that they slice through the air.

The 992 ' s ass is too big ( high, massive ) for the narrow body. Works best with the larger versions, like the Turbo and probably the RS to come .
I always found the GT3 to be the prettier version of the GT models, will probably be different this time.
As to the Touring it should of had the little duck tail that we see under the GT3 wing.

100% with you on this one. The normal Carrera has a too big rear, but with the wing on the Turbo it does look really good.
Worst is the Carrera cabrio. Looks like a top down shooting brake
