Rossi:RC:GT3 RS...not yet as far as I heard. The feedback from that monstrous wing wasn't too positive.
The monstrous wing of the GT3RS prototypes makes the wing of the standard GT3, which is no beauty on its own, suddenly somehow acceptable.
Or, both could increase takeup of the Touring version.....

If the wing on the 991RS was good enough for the track and public road travel, why the need to install a much larger wing on the 992? The 992RS is still a road car with ability to do track work for amateur drivers and owners. The car is not designed for professional drivers that concern themselves with fraction of seconds times. The larger wing is totally unnecessary.
A good memory is fine but the ability to forget is the one true test of greatness.

In my opinion the wing of the 992 GT3 RS - if it will stay the same as on the spy pics - is as big as it is just to make a difference to the old car. Porsche obviously saw the need to massively disfigure the wing just to be able to present something new.

Maybe they found a second or two better Ring times using a bigger wing. The new car needs to be "champion" of the Ring to sell well.

How many RSR does Porsche usually make for customers on each generation?
It completely depends n how many race teams inquired about acquiring one.
For the 991.1 version, with the rear exhaust and banshee exhaust note, I believe only Dempsey Proton got them.
The .2 version more teams are running them.

It's a valid point. However, the 992RS will sell well no matter what Porsche does to the wing. Porsche needs to understand that the vast majority of their customers are not track junkies. It's an exciting road car that car enthusiast enjoy driving.
I have to see the car in the flesh before committing to buy one. The wing as configured is obnoxious. I can only hope they reconfigure not.

Just got a confirmation today...that monstrous wing will be the final thing. I couldn't believe it.
To Porsche's defense however I have to say that I had a shock when I first saw the Huracan Performante wing on pictures. It looked hideous. Now I cannot imagine the car without it.

You would not have seen many of these in EU, but Dodge already used more or less the same wing size on the special ACR version of the Viper. Some people even found practical uses for such a wing.....

the-missile:that's the RS wing size. don't be shy
My very curious (older) female neighbour came towards me a few weeks ago when I cleaned my car outside the garage and asked me (from a distance of course, Corona and all) why my car has such a huge wing. I tried to explain to her ALA and all that active aerodynamics stuff and in the end, she said "well, it looks weird but if it makes you happy". She didn't get a word of what I said.

if the car is a track car ready for the road, then big wing it is. if it is the opposite, then smaller wing!
I expect the Huracan STO to have ridiculous wing and that will be perfectly fine along bonnet & front fenders openings including massive diffuser.
the Huracan Performante falls into the GT3 category and the look is in accordance.

The STO or STS or whatever the name will be, will have a ridiculous wing. My dealer gets two cars, both are already sold according to him. He said I could try to get one through Lamborghini directly, like some sort of "request" but chances are slim. I already said I don't want the car because it is too expensive (and probably too extreme) for me. I will be there though when the first car arrives at the dealership.

Germany has a shutdown "light", factories are still working, only restaurants/bars/clubs and amusement parks/public swimming/etc. are closed. Even hairdressers are still working.
