Thanks for the comment gents,
Grant, have you tried getting in and out of the Senna seats ? this won't see much if any track time so not needed from that respect so whilst nice to look at and weight savings, they just become a pain to use.

Very confortable though once you are in them.

TB993tt:Many thanks gents, this is probably the last supercar I will buy, it is an extravagant very exciting and quite emotional purchase.
Congratulations, very good choice.

Apparently, an engineering Tour de Force from McLaren, this very supersportscar focused manufacturer. Best wishes to those who can acquire such a car.
The shape is an acquired taste, more so than the 720 and very colour sensitive. Judging from the videos above red and white do not look good, whereas the darker colours look dramatic and more appropriate.
I imagine this will be a very limited use car, with no practical usage for the non-circuit, non-airfield aficionados. And probably much more expensive to indulge on say the NBR than an already very enjoyable GT series Porsche.
One advantage of buying McLaren as opposed to Ferrari, for example is that if (or when) the company manufacturing those, McLaren Automotive fails their existing cars will acquire great value by the collectors.

"Porsche....and Nothing else matters"
The car in the picture looks very odd in this red colour McLarens need darker hues to hide some of their body details.
I know that McLaren employ some top engineers, but they should have also invested in a proper Design Centre in order to improve on the shapes of their cars.
Notwithstanding their technical features and their speed, McLaren cars might look dramatic, eye-catching, race-car-like etc.but they are not good looking. The only McLaren I liked is the 570GT which OTOH is not the best of their range for performance.
Ferrari have sacrificed a lot of beauty and elegance for aerodynamics and performance on their Tributo but in spite of its ducts and scoops and odd surface shapes the car still looks good.

If Chris Harris says that the 765LT was a handful on the track and not in a good way, I believe him and it makes sense if I look back at my (very short) 720S driving encounters and the two accidents I know of in our circle of car enthusiasts.
Still...I think I want one.

Interesting video indeed but these masks... (hint: they are useless, even compared to regular surgical masks because they are too loose).

RC, every time you give us one of your "hints" I cringe, you always state the bleeding obvious ! do you think your readers are all cretins ?

Actually I think that unlike in other forums, we have the most intelligent users in all car forums worldwide.
I was just trying to make a point some may not realize, mask antipathy and all (yes, some of us don't like masks and why I can't say I like them either, I stick to the rules).
Speaking of intelligence: I recently read a very interesting book during a flight called Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ, highly recommendable and easy to read.
No, this doesn't mean I think that our users are all illiterate cretins, I'm just recommending a very interesting book.

Munich Collector just canceled his 720LM, his 765LT and his Elva orders after having a spat with them, especially over product quality but other reasons as well. So sad for McLaren to offend a big car collector.
