Question about two minor "problems" *help please*
Well today after the 997s was in the garage for about i dont know... 1 week ( two times during that week it was started in the garage for about 5-10min) My dad and I got to take it out! Well when he started the car the car alerted us to the left brakelight being un-operational.
So we get out, press the brake, and the rear left brake light isnt working. Obviously we were concerned about it being out but we decided to still drive it.
Later on (maybe 30min later) we stop to switch drivers and during that notice that the brake light is now working. So I dont know what it could have been. Tomorrow we will be driving again, and we will definatly check if the "problem" persists.
Also, we turned on the stereo and his U2 cd was in from last time the car was on and it started up when we turned on the stereo but it was just static, turned on the radio, it came in through fine (bose system by the way) so then we take out the cd and put it back in and it works fine... that was kinda odd probably something with the cd i hope
anyway, do any of you guys have any advice???
BTW, I dont want to scare people away from the 997s, its a GREAT car and my dad loves it (me too).
FINALLY while driving today my dad decided to go over the 4,000rpm mark, he hit 6,000rpm about 5 or 6 times (not quite WOT) I told him you are supposed to stay under 4,000rpms (he knows about the break in period, duh) till 2,000 miles but hitting 6,000rpm's on occasion shouldnt be bad. am I correct??? or was that really bad? The 997s has like 70 miles on it
Thanks for reading, and I hope you guys can help me out!!! (the car is great)
ps. happy new year
