No roll cage, no harness and jeez those rock hard seats
On the other hand, noise is intoxicating, steering is good but not a fan of 4WD chassis reaction.
Performante and GT3 are really different product. I can’t see Performante as track ready car. Sorry.
closer than regular Huracan but definitely not GT track ready product. I really enjoyed the drive though.
The Performante is track ready but maintenance for track use is way more expensive than for the GT3. Only thing I would add is the Trofeo R tires and I would do some camber adjustments (they usually are OK though). Roll cage and harness are possible (through some specialized companies) but not worth it in my opinion, very expensive as far as I heard. Also not sure it would be 100% street legal. The AWD chassis reaction is as GT3 as you want it to be. Drive in Sport mode instead of Corsa and the rear comes nicely. Also I would play around with tire pressures. Right now I am driving the same pressure on all four tires, this suits my driving style better but Lamborghini actually recommends a bit more pressure in the front tires. The seats are indeed an issue, even the "comfort" seats. My wife cannot sit in them more than one consecutive hour and my son gets some back pain as well. Me and my daughter seem to mind less but yes, the seats are very "hard" and the optional sport seats are barely usable on a daily basis, I would only choose them if you go to the track often. Caution: The sport seats cannot be exchanged with the "comfort" seats, so once you choose one type of seat, you are stuck with it.
The sound is just out of this world and it is not only the exhaust sound I am talking about. In Corsa mode, the whole car seems to make noises, the gearbox gives those metallic clack sounds, the engine bay "crackles" and there are so many different mechanical noises, it is just amazing. Once you switch to Street again, almost everything disappears, so I guess there is some sort of sound engineering magic somewhere but not artificially done through speakers, thank god. Outside of the car, all hell brakes loose, my son told me that he could hear me over a kilometer away when I accelerated on a nearby country road and it still was loud as hell. The best part is: It is 100% street legal, the police in Germany already accepts that Lamborghinis are that loud, they don't do anything about it (anymore). You just need to be careful in tight residential areas though since they can fine you for excessive noise.
This car is a keeper but who knows what the future brings? If fuel costs 5 EUR per liter in 20 years because nobody uses combustion engines anymore , well...not sure I want to drive the Performante.
