Well, there was a limited production "996 Carrera R" . That was its official model designation and was specifically by Porsche at the factory for a Dutch importer to celebrate their good relationship. It was basically a 996 Carrera2 with 18" wheels, Sport suspension, powerkit, and some other stuff as standard. This may be a similar job but for the Swiss.

its probably just like the other special editions like the 550 and 40th anniv, just an attempt to empty the parts bins. nothing special at all, perhaps a slight discount on what it woudl cost to order a normal C4S with these parts

the problem with these 'special editions' is that they are not. exclusivity for everyone is not a good formula.

the TT-S however, is special, because it is a completely different model, despite the rather short list of differences, it is produced in limited numbers, only 500 in the world, and only 300 coming to NA, just look at the 993 turbo S and its residuals/'brag factor'
also it is simply referred to as the S, and not the 30th anniversary, etc, even though the release does coincide with 30 yeras of porsche 911 turbos.
