That commercial doesn't make any sense. First of all, my guess is that it's a matter of "after sales". It's quite common that, having bought a product, you experience a dissonance between your expectations and the actual outcome, hence you need some further support in your beliefs in the product. Some watchmakers use this frequently (Rolex, anyone?)
The commercial cannot be targeted at one focus group.
Who is really choosing between a jeep, a 4d BMW (AWD) medium sized car & an Audi coupe? Had it been a Cayenne, an X5 and a Jeep, then it would have been really interesting.
Besides, it would have been fun to see how the jeep would handle a slalom course or the infamous "elk"-test. Guess the outcome wasn't "selling enough
