Sorry about that Kauai Diver,
I think both the 997S and 996TT are great cars. The decision was based on the need for a second car, a dealer with the patience to work with us, test driving both on more than one occasion, the agonizing wait for my ordered 997S to come in February/March, and I guess my wife had a say in things as she preferred the Turbo look compared to the 997S.

Sorry to hear that but you surely didn't make the wrong choice, the 996 Turbo is a real blast.
Regarding looks: most women I spoke to usually prefer the less aggressive 997/996 look, I remember that my wife asked me to get rid of that "holes" and that "stupid looking wing" but I had to explain to her that both are part of the car and can't be removed.
With the 997 look she's much happier now but she refuses to drive with me because "my neck hurts". Well, you never can get it right for the ladies, right?
