RC , is the problem with the memory switches on the left door will solved soon?
I drove a 997S +adaptive seat in Imola track and in the rights turns that damn seat moves itself!
my solution is to memorize all 3 memories to the same value ....
do u think that the new door panel is retrofittable?
do u think that PAG assume that it was their error permitting warranty ? I think no ...

Wht is wrong with putting the buttons on the side of the chair, or -the 997 already having a center consloe computer- put it there?

I'll be at the factory on Monday and this is one of the issues I want to ask about. I think the best solution (and less expensive one) would be to "block" the memory buttons while the car is moving.
A quick fix would be to program ALL three memory buttons to your preferred setting, so the seat can't move when you accidentally press a button with your knee.
I really don't understand who was THAT clever to position the memory buttons in that area but it surely was a very dumb thing to do. I almost lost control of my car when I drove the 997 Carrera S for the first time because the seat started to move backwards at a speed of 160 kph in a curve(!). Lucky me, I had both hands firm on the steering wheel and I was able to slow down immediately. It came very surprising, this is why this is so dangerous. When you know about it, it doesn't really pose a threat anymore.
Anyway: I STRONGLY recommend to use the quick fix I described earlier to be sure that no more unpleasant surprises can happen. At least until the final fix will be available.

They represent added weight and complexity and $.
My notes indicate I'm planning to spend about $5000 more on __seat__ options alone.
My BMW has every adjustment and inflatable bladder possible and guess what? I adjusted the seat once and basically never touched it again (except for the seat back).
That's why I'm wondering about my need to get cars loaded with options as far as this 997S purchase is concerned.

Damn, my electric memory seat never moves that fast after my wife has driven the car!
The positive side is, I don't lose control of the car.
