Porker:Did you witness a pitstop being carried out close to you as well? Must be nerve-racking for these guys. Shame for your experience that Max crashed out so early, I assume if they're battling up front excitement goes up to 11.
Saw the start and #33 crash from the grandstand. Was anti-climax, but not as much as for this guy:

+1. Great race and amazing to see that whatever the conditions, they kept racing. Another thing I really like is that when they start the race there are certainly some favorites, but it is not ONE guy (F1....) who has 95% possibility to win the thing. Even with 1 hour to go there were 5 cars (if I remember correct) on the same lap and within few seconds.
Sad to see all the damaged cars though, but that is racing as well.

I almost ate my nails together with my fingers. Absurd, from both of them...
The last lap was insane as well, with the drivetrain breaking on Nick Tandy's GT3R, that sound in the cockpit with a full lap to go. 
Apparently the following R8 couldn't get closer because the GT3R was dropping oil on the track, talking of 'luck'.

The superior traction in the wet of the rear engine car must have added to the ability and nerve of the Porsche driver.
The GT3 R is still rear engine as opposed to the mid engine RSR.
I love endurance racing more than the 1 or 2 hour sprints and the I respect the drivers and the cars which are consistently successful like Porsche.

There's many impossibles in that move. It's also not possible to drive 1 cm from the car next to you when being squeezed against the wall. Usually one chickens out; 
But I agree, that tight a line would always result in oversteer/correction on top of the Raidillon, you see he goes a bit wide there probably to prevent that, I assume? But I can only imagine he had his buttcheeks clenched to see if it would hold. It would feel insane in the dry, in the soaking wet after a grueling 24 hours of racing, the mind boggles... Of course these GT3 cars have a lot more downforce than what we're used to, but judging from Tandy's moment in the same corner it certainly isn't impossible to lose the rear with these cars.
