What a race of CL, fantastic performance!
Merc did their best but obviously Ferrari is mega fast on the straights, even with DRS they couldn't overtake him.
Regarding SV it's time to say goodbye and he has to understand that even being multiple WC it was not due to his driving skills.
For the first time in his career he's been challenged by an (at least) equal driver and like with Daniel Ricciardo he's going to be blown away...

I think that Leclerc drove excellently to fend off great pressure from Hamilton and less from Bottas. IMO it was the driver not so much the car today, as Mercedes are still very fast.
Hamilton has been complaining of "dangerous" driving by CL but he shouldn't need to make such excuses.
F1 fans must be delighted that Leclerc has appeared after a period of mediocre drivers.
"Porsche....and Nothing else matters"
Vettel mind is not on F1....Leclerc is the lead driver now if not obvious yet...
On his driving style, he is quite honest about it: after the Austria race & incident with Verstappen, he says it opened its mind that you are allowed to drive more aggressively...so he does...
But second time after Spa that the Merc is catching up late race and few more laps would have changed the race results...

Despite the fact that Ferrari clearly needs to work on their low speed curves performance I’m very very happy to see LC being more aggressive. If he can stay consistent for the remainder of the season it’ll be very interesting to see what he can do when Ferrari accepts that the team strategy should favor him more instead of SV. I believe that given the opportunity the kid could become one of the greats.
crayphile:Whoopsy:But Vettel won't be staying there to be a support driver.................
Which is a good thing.
Including for him - he can possible enjoy what he is doing...
