A 830 hp Panamera makes no sense whatsoever...

Boyko23:Licence plates, just declear tuning company?
Very good observation, could be a Techart (they are indeed stationed in Leonberg but they usually have BB license plates). Could also be a supplier who tests exhaust systems or whatever.

BONES:Well AMG will be coming with there 73 models rumored to be pushing 800HP in 2020/2021, so it would not be a shocker to me.
Most of them will have mild hybrids and are trying to "compensate" for the lack of sound with...power.

Porsche Panamera Turbo with 820 hp on the ring - What is behind the "Lion" project?
Porsche tests a Panamera prototype with brute power at the Nürburgring. We know what's up with the "Lion" model and how fast the Panamera was stopped on the Nordschleife.
"The sound is brutal by the way," reports our Erlkönig hunter from the track. Anyone who knows him a bit closer, knows that Stefan Baldauf is not so easy to impress. A Porsche insider tells us that the model is a test vehicle in which the Zuffenhausers want to determine how far they can go with the P anamera Turbo. And obviously you can go far, because the model has 820 hp. This puts the Über-Panamera 150 hp above the currently strongest model in the series. The Turbo S E-Hybrid realizes "only" 670 hp.
On demand, Porsche confesses a performance of "over 750 hp", you do not want to comment on more power. But it is confirmed that they wanted to test the round-trip potential of the luxury sedan for the 10th anniversary of the Panamera. For this purpose, a project team under the name "Lion" has modified the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo. Intake manifold and exhaust system have been optimized for higher throughput, the air suspension and the rear axle steering and roll stabilization designed for use on the circuit. In addition, a new underbody and the modified rear spoiler provide more downforce.
To save weight, a lot had to be out: Bose audio system, insulation material, interior trim and massage seats. The Zuffenhausen saved 250 kilos in order to conceal a 120 kilo roll cage at the same time. This is joined by a racing seat and a carbon full shell seat for a potential passenger. Via eight-speed dual-clutch transmissions, the "over 750 hp" runs on all four wheels, which are covered with roadworthy Michelin Sport Cup 2 wheels.
But on the Nürburgring only one thing counts: the Nordschleife time. That's what test rider Lars Kern ran on his fast laps - and chased the Panamera "Lion" through the 20.6 kilometer green hell in 7:11 minutes. About one second faster than a standard Porsche 911 GT3 and clearly under the Kernschen Panamera time from the year of 7:38 minutes. Incidentally, the findings from the "Lion" project should also be incorporated into the next generation of the luxury liner - and into other projects.
