This oil topic is really strange on the 991 GT3 RS: I have something like 2 liters oil consumption on 4.000 km so far, so it seems normal... But what irritates me a lot is this stupid electronic gauge which has a complicated operating procedure and seems to show inaccurate levels from time to time. Here is my story (and my car is being checked at my Porsche Center these days):
> Measurement result using the gauge (no other way, anyway): 2 segments empty / 2 segment full
> Since Porsche recommends to have full 3 segments out of 4, I add 0.2 liter.
> New measurement after with oil temperature > 90°c and result = yellow warning lamp 'oil level at minimum, add oil'... Does this make sense 
?... Not really...!...
> Due to the warning lamp which came up, I add 0.1 liter more. Then I drive about 10 km, again with oil temperature above 90°c, and take a new measurement. Result: Again yellow warning lamp...
> Then I decide to wait for day before starting the engine again. Come back again the next day, start up the engine, and since then everything normal.
I don't know who has invented this stupid electronic gauge, but it is really a mess! Especially on a car/engine which requires a close oil level monitoring!
... Apart from that, zero rubbing so far on my car (produced in January)

It's a shame that there is no dipstick in this car. In the dry-sump models in particular, you just need a dipstick in the oil tank (not the motor), like the air-cooled 911's...

if you drive only short distances water vapor can accumulate over time keeping the oil level constant. If after many months of short trips you then go on a long run you will notice all the water which had been accumulating evapoarate quickly making it appear as though you just consumed a whole bunch of oil even though it was just water burning off and reflecting the correct oil level. Moral of the story is check your oil after a long journey and avoid so many short trips.
My turbo with 85k miles on it now uses less than one quart between oil changes. I drive the crap out of it.

Someone was recently implying that it is not possible to have fun on Swiss roads .
Here a two little videos I made today, one going up and one coming down , always staying within speed limits ( that's why on the short straight you will not hear me accelerate too much ) . This is one of my favorite road around here , it takes you to the '' watch manufacturer valley '' .
PS : Sport exhaust is set to off ( by mistake ) ...... but even then , the sound is pretty nice , nearly as good as any white GT4

I've tested using a polarizing filter on my iPhone to get rid of the reflections from the dash. It helps-

Kobalt , that filter seem to work well 
It was the first time I ever used my iPhone to film , now I need to link it with the app .
Carlos : that road is well known form the locals ...... and at about 5 km from the start of the hill, there is a Porsche ' guru' ( he does only cars up to 1989 , mods them quite dramatically ) and this is his test road .
There are also lots of cyclist , which can ruin a run . The road is actually much longer then what I showed . this is only one section .
