And last but not least the main display also serves for rear camera and PDC-graphics. The latter is the only spot where they forgot to adapt the picture to the model of a Performante:

There are three driving modes, Strada, Sport and Corsa, each has it's own graphics in the display.

One of the key benefits of the Audi topco is the graphics display .

Agree and it is also a two-way street with Audi gaining technology from Lamborghini as well.  Audi can proof technology in Lamborghini because of much lower production volumes as well as higher margins before it migrates the technology into its more mundane products.

Also reliability and overall quality. I had a couple of Fiat and Lancia in my life and I know many many people who had Italian cars and they basically almost all sucked big time in the quality department, always issues. Including Ferrari btw.!

The Huracán Performante is not different than my R8 in the quality department, actually I am surprised how stiff the chassis is but there are no quality related interior noises at all (not that I care Smiley).

I already did 2300 km in my car, zero issues so far, oil level is between 1/3 and 1/2 (not sure if it was 100% full when I picked up the car), checked oil level at slightly under 1000 km and it was around 1/2.

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

Speaking of Italian car reliability/idiosyncrasies: I was driving my brother's Maserati Gran Turismo (beautiful sounds; not loud but very melodious), and the temperature gauge started heading towards the red zone within 4 miles of starting from cold! Shut off the car and turned the contact back on: presto, the temperature needle was back to the middle of the range. Apparently other GT drivers have experienced similar events.

Thumbs up from three (!) oncoming bikers today. This car is marvelous.

I can do better Smiley: Thumbs up from an old guy on a bicycle, thumbs up from a Toyota Supra (old one, he tried hard to keep up with me but no chance, his car was heavily tuned according to his shouting out of the window Smiley), thumbs up from an Alfa Rome 4C Spider driver (he shouted "my dream car", his car didn't sound too shabby either), thumbs up from a couple of motorcycle riders (some even greet me and I don't have a clue why), thumbs up from various people walking on the boardwalk or passing at the stop light, thumbs up from a truck driver, thumbs up from a bus(!) driver from Croatia, thumbs up from two beautiful girls at a stop light, making my daughter mad (she is very protective Smiley). All that just yesterday, it is unbelievable how positive my ownership experience is, never imagined this would happen. Smiley Smiley

Btw: We want to see more pics of your girl...PRONTO. Smiley Smiley

Smiley I really wasn't aware that people would react that way, especially in Germany. Big (positive) surprise.

I just hope it stays this way. Smiley

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

It's definitely not the same with all exotic cars. I can't remember such positive reactions while driving my Ferrari.

As I said earlier, my guess is very exotic cars like Lamborghini, but also the McLaren range are seen as an enthusiasm and therefore reactions are quite positive (if you don't act like a total douchebag of course).
Ferrari OTOH seems to have some snotty attitude nowadays. Remember what Sinatra said?

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

My guess would be the color.  White says you bought a car you love to enjoy.  Ferrari red is showing off your money.  Bright Lambo greens and yellows are advertising you're a d-bag.

It would be an interesting, but expensive, experiment to wrap your car orange and see the reactions.

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

My wife has her own theory. We talked about this "phenomenon" and she looked at me and asked me with a very serious look on her face: Have you actually looked at your car? It looks amazing, one of the most beautiful cars I ever saw.

Well, maybe things are simpler than we think.

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

White makes it also a very non agressive color . It sure helps .

As for thumbs up , I get it often in my lizard RS , bikers are actually the ones giving the thumbs the most often .

What I dislike is on the highway  the cars coming  fast from far behind, I expect them to take over so I move aside  , and then they just stay at one meter from my back bumper and don't move , often filming .

Yep, this happens to me as well. Even worse: I pass cars on the left, then I move to the right...or better said: I want to move to the right but that guy accelerates and I almost crash into him. This happened twice to me (never before). One of the drivers apologized, said he wanted to see the side of the car. Smiley

That not keeping their distance is very very annoying because I am always scared that they crash into me.

Not much you can do about it, other than accelerate and hope that he/she understands the "message". Usually not.

This is actually the only negative stuff happening. Smiley

Wait till you get caught at traffic light, rush hour and some idiot following you all the way till your destination and sometimes home, just to hear your engine rev.

Then there are the haters that will cut you off on purpose......

Always available for a drive on the Swiss mountain road, Austria needs to be planned ahead

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

Re: In love with an Italian girl…

There is a sports car meet called Concorso di Bavaria on Oct. 13th in Germany at the Festspielhaus Füssen (close to the Austrian border and around 240 km away from Zurich). The fee is 50 EUR per person, it includes lunch.

    https://cruisefire.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Concorso-di-Bavaria-Programm-2019.pdf (flyer in German)

Maybe we could meet there? On neutral ground? blush

The organizer is the German Cars and Coffee organizer.

That would have been cool but I already have an event that weekend and will be in Munich a week before (Oktoberfest).
