Their loss, we're happy we have less work.

Stephen, the problem is: we would need a moderator who owns a M BMW of the current model line and at the same time also someone who is pretty knowledgable and/or very passionate about BMW cars. Right now no moderator or editor owns a BMW M car and we hardly have time to get involved with the Porsche and Ferrari forum(s).
Same applies to the AMG forum: since I sold my E55 AMG, my passion for AMG has cooled down, especially since they never really wanted to support us with press infos/pictures and my personal experience with the AMG Owner's Club didn't help much either.

Hahahaha ... I just knew someone in the peanut gallery would pipe up and say that. 
Just read the Evo article on the M5 and it surely sounds like a fantastic car! Too bad it is so ugly though.
I don't think a full-sized high performance sedan is the direction I would want to head in right now. I think I'm more likely to go in the opposite direction. But maybe someone here reading this is thinking this way? Of course, Christian is right that the forum would need an enthusiastic moderator. Let's hope one materialises.
