fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

this chart will answer a lot of questions regarding overall performance ,notice the x50 position compared to a murcielago....if there is a way to place the chart in higher resolution ,please let me know,i am limited to 200k

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

    Jeez, very impressive.

Interesting to see the difference in acc. between the Murcie and the Zonda.

I would be curious to know the tires used on each car - I suppose the Radical and Caterham are using semi-slicks and therefore have impressive braking performance.

    Thanks!

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

you can see the acceleration between any car on this chart ,but maybe it is not clear due to the 200k limitation .what is impressing is how close are the x50 with the zonda s (3.74-3.79 0 to 60),and how far is the murcielago even tough it has 130bhp more than the x50..porsche engeneering..

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

I wouldn't put the Zonda in a league with the X50. The impressive 0-60 time of the Porsche is due to its superb traction. There is no other car accelerating as fast to 35 ? mph except for the two monoposti as the Porsche!

The Zonda's performance is quite outstanding to me, especially if you bear in mind that it has less hp and lacking AWD compared to the Murcie. I have to admit that the car is how I would've expected the Lambo to be - the fact that Horacio Pagani just launched his business a couple of years ago (and that he used to work for Lamborghini ) makes it quite interesting to me!

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

oh but Horatio Pagani scrubbed floors all those years at ferrari, he must have learned some of their black magic...

wait a mninute... why arent there any F-cars on this chart

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

Here is another, more recent (or maybe just different) test from the same magazine. Page 1

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

Man! look at the acceleration of the Focus Rally car its even faster than the GSX-R1000! 0-100mph "under" 5 secs (wonder what tires it used to beat the bike). If it weren't for the slow reaction time it would have beaten everybody.

I think the Radical Turbo may have beaten the Cat R500 if they would of included one with its better power to weight and better aerodinamic aids for traction and braking. Does this Cat have a T/C?

Look at the GT3 with only 380HP!

(the first chart is from 2002 and the 2nd one from 2004 it seems)

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

....... and what's the Vauxhall/Opel/Lotus VX220 doing ahead of the Honda NSX Type R?

It's the sprint version! Word is that Lotus is working on a 250hp kit for the 111R/Exige (~32% gain). That might put it ahead of the M3 CSL.

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

    Another one...

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

I wonder where the GT2 would rank on this list. If the X50 pulled a 8.4 0-100, I'm curious to see what the 0-100 on the GT2 would be?

How are they going to achieve that? Based on the Toyota engine, I suppose?

Any more info on the Focus Rally Cross? I don't think it is the WRC version but another one used for round-circuit rally cross!

Very interesting to see that the 20 year-old Ruf CTR has similiar performance as the Enzo (except ABS-free braking) and is way ahead of its successor, the R-turbo!

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

Yep, using the 2zzge engine to produce those numbers. They have already done it as an engineering exercise to show improvement in fuel economy, so all is left is to implement it with the car (if they haven't already).

Re: fiinally i scanned the chart ,very interesting!

I'm not actually sure because I didn't scan the article myself, but I imagine it could be the May 2004 issue.
