    Seems marketing strategy

    Lap times in Nurburgring on dry conditions
    996 Carrera 8.25m
    Cayenne 8.40m

    This whole marketing crap is really starting to annoy me.
    The Cayenne is NOT a sports car, end of story.
    If you want a 4 seats sports four door sports car, get an M5!
    Marketing is crap.
    We all know the Boxster's chassis is a gem, why not give 360hp? Marketing...
    We all loved the GT3, why limited production? Marketing...
    Why are we waiting so long for the turbo cab and new GT3? Because otherwise, they would coincide with the launch of that fat piece of... sorry, the Cayenne, again, Marketing.
    Don't get me wrong, I like the Cayenne, it is a highly capable car, but not a sport car. Which exactly what we want!!! Sports cars!!!
    If PAG carries on, they are going to lose a costumer
    I am convinced that the Turbo cab, GT3, 4S cab are all ready just waiting to be presented

    Maybe he was driving the Cayenne in the wet instead off the Carrera GT in the dry when he was scared

    I would assume the Cayenne S and X5 4.6is will have very similar performance figure

    Until he doesn't prove that to me, I don't believe it.

    Due to the excessive weight (and the SUV setup), I bet the Cayenne shows heavy understeer, especially when driven at it's limits. My ML55 is an understeer pro...on wet pavement it is even dangerous because it starts to change very quickly from understeer to slipping. Can't imagine that the Cayenne is much different.

    I'll drive the Cayenne around mid of december (very likey the Turbo) and I try all the tricks on dry and wet pavement. I'm not Walter Roehrl but I guess I'm able to tell if the Cayenne is faster than the 996 C2 in the wet.
