Agony in waiting
I understand that the 997 has just been released, but more powerful models are yet to be released after thorough testing and R&D. But its pretty painful to wait for them to come out. At this time all you can depend on are rumors, 997 GT3 in 2005 / 2006, Turbo 2006/2007, so when does production start for the 997 GT2 ?? 2010 ??
Maybe I should do what RC has done, get the carrera S, and that should make the wait much easier.
After loosing my GT3 MKII (read the story in 996 section) I have thought about getting another 996 but I don't know about that since the 997's are out.
I have thought about getting a used low mileage 996 GT2 but that would depreciate when more powerful models of the 997 variant come out, and GT2's are pretty expensive still. I love the car, but my only knowledge comes from the reviews I read, and what I have heard from previous owners, one of my friends own one, but I haven't driven any.
What do you guys think ? Wait till 2099 ?
I really think that porsche should raise the ante furhter more and giving us a power figure starting with 5. Power is nothing without control but when all cars are having such huge power gains, porsche are left behind. E55, RS6 and M5 is the salon class, 430 and the gallardo is the sports class. But deep inside, I know that porsche would not let us down.
