I only know what I read on the TSB itself. I have not heard of anyone who has had this procedure completed.
My reading of it is that some 03/04 Cayennes have DME's that incorrectly report a fault condition when performing a "kick down adaptation". The procedure details how to perform the kick down adapation and when it is OK to ignore the error message.

Since we have some solid results from the transmission control module replacements, and it does not appear to be a total solution, I am going to unpin and close this thread and start a new one on the general topic of hesitation. If you have more comments on the module replacements or hesitation issue, please post them there.
