    Are you sure about that?

I took my Canon Powershot S1 IS with me, a camera which has an image stabilizer and is capable of shooting very nice mpeg videos for the internet. Owning 4(!) microdrives and never having a failure since I own them, I really forgot to take a CF card or a spare MD with me. I was soooooooo mad. A friend had a 128 MB CF card with him but it didn't work, it was a no name card and apparently the speed was not fast enough, the short test video was almost impossible to watch. A lot of picture artifacts and stutter...

But I think there is a video from the Nordschleife driving, I'll check on that.

    Amen, couldn't say it better!

Both car manufacturers build different cars, let's be happy we can differentiate them from each other!

What would you prefer? That they all look, drive and cost the same??

...Remember F uses numbers that correspond to engine displacement, so the updated car can't be called a 360 with a 4.3 liter engine....hence F430....

Never knew that. Actually learned something from this thread.

To be precise, this is not always the case!

The 355 for example means 3,5 litres, 5 valves per cylinder
The 512 translates to 5 litres, 12 cylinders (same with 308 I suppose?)
There are some cars that have their designation related to cylinder instead of overall displacement!

    Greetings!

By the way, Chris I can only congratulate you to your lovely kids!

I also talked to somebody who had recently the chance to actually drive the F430 F1. He was very fascinated by the F430 and he says that this car is "lightyears" ahead from the F360. But it also feels less "connected" to the street, the F360 had more "purity" in it.

funny... i recently talked to someone who test drove the 997 carrera S and he told exactly the same about being less connected to the street. the steering felt remote to him compared to former porsches.

Isn't P and F just like two beautiful women. You might have chemistry with one and not the other, you may have chemistry with both , and you might not have chemistry with neither ?

Chris : please confirm me that the black 997S pccb was not my future car ....

Don't get you wrong. I love both Ferrari and Porsche. But don't think 997 C2S is "easily" outperforms F360 in "any" track.

So you are of Libanese origin also?

Re: A few facts for Nick

Yes though I have not been to Lebanon. My cousin (he is very close to my father) keeps inviting me but I have not worked it out. I plan to do so in the near future.

They already suffered enough during their last civil war.

Nobody said, that, relax. I just started this somehow "humurous" thread to "repay" Nick for his various visits to the Porsche forums.
I'm happy that the Ferrari fans here on this forum understood that very well.
