The Ferrari 330 P3/P4 race cars of that era of Ford domination at Le Mans , were among the most beautiful cars ever made.
I understand the story takes place during the build-up to the first Ford win in 1966, but the accompanying Rolling Stones song ( "GImme Shelter" ) only came out in 1969

Will the new film beat "Le Mans" (Steve McQueen, Siefried Rauch) as the motorsport all time great movie?

Unlikely since there is virtually no dialogue in LeMans by McQueen's design, conversely it is unlikely that Bale or Damon will be as economical of senseless banter.

Looks very promising, finally (again) a car movie I want to watch. I love that "underdog" story, even if Ford wasn't exactly an underdog but I like Shelby a lot.
