Thanks for your wishes guys but you'll regret it...you know how obsessive I can get about a car, expect tons of Performante content and photos over the next couple of months...oops...decades.

Haha oh wow Christian! Fantastic!
Also fun to see how much you are anticipating this. As a non-sports-or-supercar-owner, you tend to imagine how it must be ordering the car of your dreams, then finally getting the call to pick it up and waking up the morning of delivery, then the days that you walk over to your garage, open the door and see the stuff of dreams.
Then on this forum, a lot of people seem to have gotten used a bit to this process. But from your post, I can see you are still the little boy with the poster of his dreamcar on the wall of his bedroom, and that is how it should be. Really looking forward to reading about your experiences and the first days/weeks/months of ownership!

The poster is actually in the garage but you almost nailed it.
The whole process was quite exciting, especially since I ordered the car basically in the last "minute" and the dealer had to call the Europe chief of distribution to make sure the order gets through (the dealerships had an official deadline for final orders but Lamborghini didn't seem to take the deadline too seriously, so the deadline expired one day earlier). No real problem though.
Then, the dealer promised me the car for March but March didn't make sense since it was still winter in Bavaria and shortly before the Easter school vacation. So I told my dealer that April would be OK. The dealer asked a couple of weeks ago if May would be OK as well and I agreed. This could be an advantage because of the surprise Rossi told me about but I'm not sure I am lucky enough for that (last Performante manufactured for a customer). We'll see...
Fact is: I never anticipated a car I ordered that much but at the same time, I have a feeling of calm and satisfaction, there is nothing super exciting about getting this car, "just" a dream come true (Lamborghini and a fantastic drive toy). I always loved Lamborghini especially the Aventador but the Aventador was kind of out of my (financial) league and the Huracán was always, how to put it, more of a Boulevard cruiser in my mind, not a sports car I would really want. I was hoping for a R8 GT instead but it never happened. The Performante changed that a lot and since I am 54 now and I don't know if I am going to be alive tomorrow , I said to myself: "What the heck, get it, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity". My wife backed me with this and here we are...

Christian, great looking car. You have the right attitude. Indulge yourself and live your life like there is no tomorrow. Not many people on the planet have the opportunity to do what you’re doing. Enjoy it to the fullest.
There is nothing stronger than gentleness.

Many congrats Christian!! That is really a great sportscar and I know y'll have a lot of fun with it. Personally I'm not in White but this car looks gorgeous in White. It's perfect this way and I would stay with this clean appearance and avoid sticker.

Thank you so much, R. I wish you would have joined me (us ) but I get it, maybe next time.

CGX car nut:Congratulations and looking forward to a stellar write-up on the new ride. Both Rossi and Carlos have set a high threshold in the last few days.
Not sure if someone is going to be interested in my driving report and photos since Rossi has already done such a marvelous job and also since the Performante isn't exactly a "new" car but maybe it helps some people who want to get a (used) Performante now or sometimes in the future.
I need to run it in first though, around 1000 km, maybe 1500 km, I'll have to see how I feel about it and how the weather will be around Bavaria over the next few days (little hint: not great ).
