ClosePorsche needs to react but I'm not sure they can keep up with the BMW price level.
Also, the BMW engine is a V6, same goes to the Macan but Mercedes uses a V8.
Not sure how successful these cars will be, we'll see.

Not a fan of the GLC Coupe either...or the X6 for that matter but the X4 is just hideous.

Agree. But there's simply no use of a SUV coupe. Why not an estate coupe while they're at it ? You either need the space or you don't.
There are only two SUV "Coupes" looking good: The Urus and the Q8 but they're actually not really Coupes.
The RS Q8 is coming soon, with the Urus V8 (very likely with 605 hp in the base model, more in the Performance model) and a much cheaper entry price than the Urus, should be a great "sporty" SUV.

Agreed. We drive a Abarth 595 and are so happy with this car. As small as you can get.

They usually offer what people are willing to buy... There seems to be a clear trend away from sedans and towards "sportier" SUVs, including those in "Coupe" form.

Got a facelift Macan S loaner for two days while they fix the front lift on the GTS.
It is 992 test drive flashback. Nice and comfortable, but rather lifeless and boring. Our Audi S3 is more fun to drive and feels more powerful in acceleration than the Macan S. What is going on with Porsche?

WTF. Our family hauler is faster than this. A brand new Porsche GTS model, which is supposed to be the sporty parts bin special, is slower than an Audi station wagon which was presented 8 years ago 
Yes, I know station wagons and SUVs should not be measured in acceleration numbers, but anyway...
