    It's back in fashion!!!!

    Well after months of admiring your beautiful 911's I thought it only fair to send you a shot of my new C2S

    I thought long and hard before choosing Red, but feel it was worth the risk.

    Very nice--congrats!! My first Porsche in 1989 was guards red--great color!

    I've never really felt red suited the previous generation 911's, but the 997 pulls red off really well. Great looking garage too!

    Great choice! Looks outstanding! We should have a competition here whos garage looks coller (without the cars) I think I may have a chance in it too

    thank you for your compliments on the car and garage. It's only right that the car has has somewhere nice to rest! The garage floor paint drives me nuts as I am always having to touch it up as the tyres lift it.

    Congrats for the colour choice and of course for your new baby. My former 996 Turbo was guards red and I was actually thinking about guards red for my 997 Carrera S too but I had to choose rapidly on a "take it or leave it" basis and so I went for a black 997 Carrera S. But your car reminds me of how great guards red looks.

    And your garage looks cleaner than our living room, I'm impressed. Two little kids cost a tribute...

    There's no solution, except to strip the floor and try those coatings which claim to "resist" the heat and pressure of the tires.

    They make those nice car _matts_, maybe you can find one in blue. Would make the color scheme complete.

    there are mats that you can place on the garage floor that will go where the tyres will rest, that way you can make the floor last much longer.

    Another tip on the flooring - tire dressing takes the paint off the concrete. Be sure not to dress tires in the garage - do it outside and let dry a bit before parking inside.

    I find it very interesting that you give your car some pictures to look at, in case it gets bored on a weekday...

    Eric, could you explain to a not-native Anglistic speaker what tire dressing is supposed to be?

    Tire dressing serves two purposes: 1) protects the tire rubber from cracking from exposure to smog and the UV from the sun and 2) makes the tire rubber very black. I think most people that apply tire dressing do it for reason #2.

    wow congats reidy ,cant wait to have my red 997s,until december production..enjoy it!i cant understand why guards red looks so much better on 997 compared to 996..
