Still it is ridiculous to me how they justify the design of the front bumper. What is the historic connection of the old cars equipped with this intake and the 430???

I just check with Ferrari and they advised me that the exhaust on this car is the standard exhaust. I was considering ordering the sport exhaust but after hearing this no need to. Save about $5000.!

Gotta agree. There was a similar video produced in Germany a few years ago on the 360 Spider where the cheesy 70ish German disco/ Abba music drowned out the motor music completely. It's all about the sound on these cars , you producers . Arghh!

Are you SURE? I thought the standard exhaust tips were slash cut, and the straight ones (like on the video) was the sport exhaust???? If that is the standard exhaust, all I can say is HOLY COW, and the sport exhaust must sound insanely load read-great.

As a designer I might be a bit more critical but just placing those extremely distinctive intakes on a car like the F430 should give them a certain reason to do so. Mercedes doesn't install the Gullwing doors on the next CL-coupe, do they?

Of course, no one would readily admit to any of that *foolishness* now...
Also my belief why the lines on 430 are relatively discordant: they knew they had the Enzo-ish rear but when setting up a 360-like side *F* realised how uncomfortably similar to the Gallardo it was, and not nearly as aggressive or 'forward' as the Lambo's fighter jet meets business suit tapering...

I think the Gallardo looks more reputable than the F430. The F430 is a gorgeous car, but I think its very very flashy. Also - the F430 should be in red, a Gallardo is salebale in silver or black, too. So - if someone prefers a more decent car, the Gallarod probably makes the run!

Whoa. The 430 "flashier" than the Gallardo? That's a stretch, I don't agree at all. Lambo specializes in flash, they do it very well, and the 430 is not that type of design at all, IMO.

Did you know the CS was detesticled exhaust soundwise in the US vs. the Euro model? I wonder if that car in Mexico was a Euro or US spec model?

Lars, I do agree! Gallardo DEFINITELY in silver. There's a Lambo showroom walking distance from my place here which teases me every few days-- For me, Silver G. (w/conservative black int.) is gorgeous, refined and tantalizingly-subtle meets sophisticated.
I love Lamborghini's effort at understatement-- the silver is perfect complement to their vision.

IMO the Gallardo is not so great looking, looks like a slice of swiss cheese. Too chunky/wedgy....IMO.

Hm, at least your very personal opinion...
I can understand people that have a certain dislike for the Gallardo. The proportions are quite strange and it might appear like a toycar. It looks like Lamborghin tried to differentiate the two models very massively to justify the Murcies price tag. If it would've looked more like the Miura it might have been too cute - and this could even lead women to drive a Lambo. Which Lamborghini owner would want that...?
Anyways, I've heard that Missy Elliot is quite fond of Lambos.
Judging from video and TV footage the 430 seems to look better in person - curious to see one in the metal soon!
Still I am not in favour for the front layout - still looks hideous and not as proportional as the 360 - but again, let's wait and see the car in nature!
