    Optional 19 wheels are nice

    especially the Classic design

    The Sport wheels are surprisingly good looking, I have until now preferred the Classic wheels, but the Sport looks great in these pictures.

    I like the classics's very much in the picture - though I went for the new 19" wheels.

    I guess I like the standard 19' better...Even if the optional wheels were free, I still won't take them..

    Does that colour look fantastic or what, is it basalt black, I love it, and I too would keep the standard 19" wheels, great pics thanks

    stone - the one with the classic wheels looks like standard black but the one with the sport design is basalt black i think so at least

    Thanks for the great pics, for now I have 18" wheels but will be upgrading, I like the Classic in Chrome.

    My vote is also that it is Atlas Grey, I do not think it dark enough for basalt black.

    i originally ordered 19inch carrera classic wheels ,then switched back to the standard 19inch ,i find them awesome..i read on the tequipment catalog that 19 carrera classic are 9.5j and not 11j like the standard wheels

    We have already discussed this in a different thread, but I believe the info regarding the 19" Classic wheel in the Tequipment catalog is a typo.
    If you look at the tyre size on page 9 for the 19" Classic wheel it says 263/35 ZR 19. That is not a size I have heard of before.

    Agree with dhayek the wheels in the above pictures look ok but the standard 19" S wheels have grown on me big time,and i think they really suit the car now

    I really like the simplicity of the classics, think they suit the car. Mine's being built as I write. Pics when I get it, hopefully before the snow falls here in New England.

    Check the (German) Porsche website, Tequipment for the 997 is now available there. And confirms that it was a typo and that the Classic wheel has the same dimension as the other 19" wheels.
