sports exhaust... meaning quad pipes are available on the base model?
No. Porsche Sport Exhaust (option = XLF) produces better engine sound and has nothing to do with exhaust tips.

Just heard from my dealer the sport pipes are available for my November build 997
Are you sure your dealer didn't mix up a few things?
Latest information still indicates that the sport exhaust is available for the Carrera S only.

Are u sure about that poursha, the PSE has a different look to the standard S twin pipe.(The inner pipe larger bore than the outer)I prefer those tail pipes, have seen them on c4s or turbo i think.

Harry, I start to get confused now: did your dealer confirm that the sport exhaust is available for the 997 Carrera or did he just confirm that the exhaust PIPES of the Porsche sport exhaust look different than the ones on the Carrera S?
This is indeed true but I guess it is pretty easy to exchange them with the original Carrera S pipes and judging by the looks of the PSE pipes, I guess this is what I'm gonna do.

Now I understand, Harry. Sorry.
It is strange that the dutch importer confirmed the sport exhaust for the 997 Carrera, I really hope you won't get an unpleasant surprise when the car arrives.
I'll check for it on about two weeks, this is where I get a chance to find out 100% for sure.
