When were you on the Nordschleife the last time?
The V12 is about emotions, the sound, the throttle response...no turbo engine can give you that.

The problem is you feel the inefficiencies of these heavy V12 cars. The lap time transforms into less precise feeling on the road...

You might have a different view after driving a 812. In theory I understand what you mean. In real life you might get to very different results.

Which one is the hamburger?
The one with the muffled sound, the lag and the lowered rev range.

Did a quick scan to calibrate rough relative weights and alleged NBR times and found:
812 ~3800lb 7:28
991TTS ~3600lb 7:17
488GTB ~3400lb 7:22
991GTS ~3200lb 7:24
But have generally found track times achieved on track tires by different drivers on different days, etc to be almost theoretical and difficult to meaningfully compare
However, am more curious how material differences in weight and track times translate to real-world spirited driving enjoyment on street tires especially in such attributes as steering precision; brake pedal feel; possible ability to more smoothly drive 991TTS/GTS in SportPlus mode vs need to manually use paddles in 812/488; chassis/braking responses when temps ~50-55F and face occasional damp patches of road; differential decay rates (and changes in braking/traction performance) of P/F-specified street tires after ~2K mis of use, etc etc

Wagyu Filet Mignon...Morgan farm...tasty. Have them sent to my house from time to time, when the craving starts to get overwhelming.
Congrats , can't wait to read about your impressions and see some photos.

Filet mignon...
Thinking filet mignon is better than a sirloin would be like stating a CL65 is a better car than an 812 Superfast 'because it is more refined.'. Might very well be, but it lacks taste.

Wyagu Filet Mignon from the Morgan farm...add some Australian river pink salt flakes and...taste buds heaven. The meat actually dissolves itself in the mouth, you don't have to chew much.

I'm not too much for Wagyu, find it a bit too much of a good thing. I love fat in my meat, but to have a whole piece of Wagyu it's a bit too much IMO. A good Rubia entrecôte and I'm very happy.

My wife is the same, she says my filets don't have any proper taste but I love them and the kids too, so...

Ahhhh, Rubia, there it is, someone who knows ... The particupar breed destined only for this purpose (and controlled by the Regulatory Council) and how it is grown, makes it the best in the world for steak!

Of course the aging is equally as important as the breed or the marbling, the feed or even the finishing feed. 40-50 days dry aged is my personal sweet spot and while grass feed gives a lovely flavour my butcher brings in from a farm that does corn feed and finishes for the last couple of months with alfalfa and pea shoots and it's amazing.

Very wet here today . I can confirm that where the F12 would have fish tailed the 812 Superfast just spins its wheels in a straight line . Having driven another car in the dry last year though I can also confirm the Superfast is an all round upgrade on the F12 - less twitchy steering and power put down very controllably and predictably. At high speeds it also feels much more stable than an F12. Looks are always subjective but I don't think its the prettiest of cars, so I went for a spec that I have had in my mind, but was waiting for the right car to do it on. Nero DS, painted shields and gold wheels. Some subtle dream lines as well. I resisted my normal carbon everywhere tendency and brought it out all to the outside but with a special coarser weave. Some subtle but not overpowering gold accents internally and no carbon but the usual aluminium coloured bits sprayed in matt Nero DS. Some quick iPhone shots, more when its detailed and the weather is better!

Oh boy, this car looks just...stunning. Perfect color for the Superfast, great combo as well.
Enjoy in good health and it is good to hear that Ferrari made the 812 better drivable than the F12, sounds like an amazing upgrade over the F12.
