I don't know what they are doing but I know that we have Feb and March production cars here...this certification is either a mess or a good excuse to avoid euro pollution foot print, extra parts and higher cost to issue the car to Europe and sell the car everywhere else...

I just heard (again) the rumor that the cars were delayed because of the WLTP certification in Germany.

Also, it seems that even German cars won't get a particulate filter, this is the reason why they are producing the next batch only for a couple of months (after Sept 1st 2019, newly produced cars need to have a particulate filter to fulfill Euro 6d temp). Again...this is a rumor but it is highly possible that the second batch will have no particulate filter, not even for European cars.

I have to be blunt here: I already heard a car with particulate filter (so it is safe to say I saw it too Smiley ), so this rumor is really a bit weird but it came from a (usually) pretty reliable source outside Porsche. Smiley

The GT3 RS will be WLTP certified (Euro 6c I think) but not Euro 6d temp, so no particulate filter. Again, a rumor but if true, this would be really great for owners.

According to my understanding all cars require a PF to be registered since Sept. 1st in the European Union, isn't it?

They don't need PF, they need to pass the WLTP and the 6dTemp regulations. Almost all cars need the PF to pass the test, but PF itself is not mandatory.
For example 2019 Mazda MX5 6dTemp, no turbo, no PF. They manage it with a conventional NA engine. Ok small car, small engine.

Maybe for cars with a small production number there are excemptions and Porsche only need WLTP and Euro6c for the GT3 RS.

It is late indeed since first deliveries of batch 2 are planned for June.

According to my PC, the WLTP mess has caused significant delay in having the GT3 RS batch 2 started.

Yes same situation here, little deposits only when allocations arrive and the order is doable...no deposits before that moment.

My question was to understand if those (June ?) orders had been secured/approved by Porsche!

Wow...much more than in Germany. Maybe because deposits aren't "common" in Germany? Smiley

I had to make a 17k EUR deposit for my Huracan Performante order, Aventador SVJ orders required a 30k EUR deposit. "Funny": Over 31 orders, only 4 cars...27 people needed to get their deposit back, not pretty.

A friend of a friend of a friend indecision just forwarded me a message that the EU car will come with - 20 HP, as it was confirmed by a german dealer about his july delivery car yes

Anyone else got this ?

There are (or were?...my second batch info is over a month old) issues with the WLTP certification and particulate filter but who knows, maybe that no particulate filter thing is true? Smiley

My latest info: Batch 2 definitively with PF (at least for EU) but Porsche engineers would be very proud of what they could achieve in terms of noise and power...

AP once told the actual 4.0 is good for 600+ hp...easy to believe they can gain at least 520 hp with a filter

Interesting. I doubt much over 520 is possible at 4.0l. 600? A 520 GAIN ... impossible.
