I think that's beautiful countryside. I wonder if it's Utah. I like the choice of lighting too, either late evening or early morning with the low sun angle and long shadows. It really highlights the dust stirred up by the car.

The car, yes. That's probably what you're asking about. So this is the Pikes Peak. It fully develops Audi's new front end styling. It looks Chrysleresque/Prowlerish. A bit like the Dodge Ram pickup. I don't think I care for the look when I see it on an Audi. It's OK on the Prowler or the Dodge pickup but I don't care for it on the other Chrysler products either.

There's a retro quality about it that I don't care for. Which is a little odd because I usually like the retro stuff, like the Thunderbird or the New Beetle. Maybe this isn't retro, I don't know.

I do think it has good sales potential in the US. A Cayenne/Touareg platform with three row seating? I think you can sell that.

Interesting point of view GM Austin. To me it looks like a mixture of Infiniti FX and Jeep grand Cheroke , but overall I think it would sell well in the states.

I just don't understand why AUDI is lingring so much to get into SUV market?

Looks a big vehicle - long with a huge overhang at the back, also are they 20" wheels - sorry but I do not think it is good looking at all.

too bad most photoshoppers (the good ones) have better imaginations and concepts of beauty than the designers themselves.

i mean imagine if some of the next gen BMW images actually became the real cars.

Paris Motor Show
The large sport utility vehicle (SUV) that is to be built by the Audi brand will bear the name Q7. This announcement was made at the Paris Motor Show by Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG. "The letter Q denotes a new type family within our company, alongside A, S and RS. The 7 indicates that it is positioned between the A6 and A8," explained Prof. Winterkorn.


The Q7 will make its market debut at the start of 2006. The production version will be based on the Pikes Peak quattro concept study that Audi had unveiled at the 2003 Detroit Motor Show. In common with the latter, the five-door, seven-seater Q7 will combine the qualities of a fully-fledged off-road vehicle with the typical dynamism of an Audi high-performance sports saloon.
