    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Day trade. No taxes makes it perfect. Use the right tool and collect money all day long. You start late in the afternoon when markets open and trade for the first couple of hours. I have been killing it with a > 57 profit to loss ratio since the start of this month (granted a cherry pick time frame but this was 40 trades with 3 tiny losers). I always set stop losses and never leave money in the market overnight if possible. I make lots of little trades called scalping but I can average 1.5 -3% per day.  Thinking about moving to Andorra for tax reasons when I retire. 55 is old to code but I am using my big data skills to do my stock analysis.

This will get me being able to use my millions to get an overinflated gt3rs. Back on topic. How is that?

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Look it’s not over inflated. I have not driven it on the track yet so can’t really tell you how it handles. Also to be honest this is the first 911 I have ever driven. The normal 911’s never appealed to me. In fact all normal sports cars don’t do it for me anymore. Driving on the road is a pain in Dubai we have speed cameras everywhere so you just get your love letters in the mail. Plus as I have grown older I have become more of a purest. I have driven the 458 and 458 speciale on the track. The speciale is a wonderful car but felt more refined and not as hardcore as this car even though I am yet to take it on the track. It’s very smooth once you get over 2000 rpm. The ride is stiff as expected however it’s not bone ratteling and handles bumps nicely. Though the road in Dubai are excellent and there are no pot holes. The car feels light but solid and gives you a lot of feedback mechanical sounds it’s wonderful as that’s what I like. The steering is sharp and super balanced with no play. The engine sound so far is good but I can’t say what happens after 4000 rpm just yet. What I hate is this stupid button to increase the exhaust note. It shouldn’t be there but maybe it’s regulation on db noise limits which the driver has an option to switch off I don’t know. But for the car you get other brands like McLaren Ferrari and so on you would pay a lot more and maybe they are not as good. So in this category it’s a value for money buy. Get one!!! And come to Dubai we don’t have corporate tax 😀

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

I totally agree. What I meant by inflated was that it is hard to get one without a big markup in price. If you can get one at all. We are otherwise on the same page. Cheers and enjoy your car.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Ahh you mean those scum bags who book the car for a quick profit. Yes totally agree with you I found one GT2 RS that is almost double the sticker price. And I was pissed because I wanted to book that car first but the dealer told me that I will not get that order but he will book me the first car on the GT3 RS order. So I took the deal. Still find that exhaust noise button stupid anyone else share my anger. You know in 10 year or so that shit is going to fail.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Gnil, it is all about using the new tools effectively and following strict guidelines.  It is all about discipline and checking emotions.  It took me a while but once you get into a method which works there is no other way to build wealth as quickly.  There is always a ton of new stuff to learn which I enjoy. I use TradeStation and swear by it. If anyone is interested I can hook you up with my account rep. He has clients all over the world. Back to GT3. Which I want at msrp

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Being (reasonably) successful in trading over a long period of time is extremely hard. By a long time I mean more than just a few months or year.

Great to hear Nelson - not many posts but I can see how this topic stirs passion for those in the know . I started with futures but got into a margin equity account for sanity sake. I took a course with the online trading academy which is where I learned of TradeStation. Best thing I learned. I think they teach all over the world. London, Dubai etc.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Wow, great minds! I took OTA courses as well and establlshed a collaboration group with local OTA  Started with ETF's, then Forex Options and before commodity options.Smiley  ,

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Yes I just started on trade station as well. Been an advocate of value investing for a while and did a seminar with Phil Town where they recommended trade station. Also they had negotiated a lower commission with trade station for their clients. So took the account. It’s a great course gave me a lot of insight into approaching stock picking long term. I did courses at Columbia as well but Phill Town was better. Only problem is it’s outside Atlanta Georgia and it’s got Ok hotels but the food is for shit. All American fast food junk that I don’t eat at all and hotel food was rubbish. So that was the biggest problem. But the course was excellent.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Just whoa. It still amazes me how incredulous people can be. You think you can beat the system when billions have been poured in R&D and hardware/connectivity.

There is plenty of money to make in high frequency trades. But it has become a very crowed and very expensive game. To think you can take a few online lessons and attend a couple of seminars and you will make money day trading is Smiley

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

True. It is not easy or safe. But someone has to give it a try. If we all just listened to that type of advice we might as well quit.  I tend to want to try to be successful, if I don’t try I know the result.

Btw the billions poured into hardware and connectivity is what is making these trades possible. 20 years ago these opportunities did not exist. If you knew our backgrounds you might also see that we have more than a class behind us in terms of the experience but we all understand that even a brilliant trader with years of track records can not predict the markets. This is just about using tools and strategy which minimize risk.  There is a best way and a wrong way to go into this.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

All I can say further is that financial professionals feasts on day traders in every way possible.

I love day trading but yes, it is stressful and you need to be permanently online and on the lookout.

Problem is: Both of my banks don't offer day trading directly online, I have to call my bank guys and talk it through with them. Another problem is that sometimes, the money isn't instantly booked to my account, so I cannot start another deal immediately. Kind of a mess but why should German banks be customer friendly? Smiley They once invited me to provide my opinion on their online banking services and I think I embarrassed them. Only problem is: They cannot do anything about it, the leadership isn't willing to improve the online banking experience, probably because of the risk involved or maybe because they are afraid that at some point, customers could realize that the bank advisors at banks are really necessary anymore.

Very annoying: With each telephonic transaction I do, I have to listen to a pre-recorded legal liability announcement, which takes a minute or two, making serious day trading per phone a joke (I had a situation where the stock value has risen in two minutes from 5.60 or so to over 7).

I know there are US companies and other banks offering day trading but I do not want to transfer my funds to other banks for various reasons, mostly safety concerns. German banks haven't really arrived in the 21st century yet. Smiley

RC what you describe is not day trading. It is a nightmare. Anyone can use TradeStation. It’s a smartphone app and all you need to do is add money to an account.

    Yes, indeed. Smiley

Services like Tadestation are available here but since my banks don't support them, I would need to transfer funds and this is a bit more complicated in my case.

Just use Interactive Brokers, they are in Europe too. They are geared to semi finance pros and very customer friendly. You also have access to pretty much anything that has an electronic market, not just stocks.

I know right?  One Check is pretty simple to draft and mail. My account rep would be happy to explain.  I can’t think of anything simpler. But I don’t know much about Europe and their taxes.  Sounds screwed up.

There is a reason for that, sorry I cannot say more. I could move small amounts but big amounts are out of the question.

I know right, yet for purposes of funding a TradeStation account it is very effective since ACH for a new account is not setup yet. Interesting to note that this is where I used my last check a long time ago. I hardly even carry a wallet. I pay using at least five different methods my phone provides.  I would be more concerned about you old fashioned and expensive way you trade rather than check writing.  About half my winning trades if not more would be losers if I used the old fashioned trading methods.  For now I’m looking at nice 1% or greater daily returns as this market jumps around

The trouble is that trading has made me cling to cash since it is the tool. Not certain I could part with it to buy a GT3 now. Not a bad problem to have. Cheers
