There is no change to the seats. Porsche evidently just did not want the production hassle of special requests. As these covers are apparently so easy to swap over I am really surprised that they do not insist that the head technician (or a designated member of the service team) are trained in how to do this. If they were, Porsche could certainly make more money by offering replacement seat centres or cover swaps via their dealer network. Perhaps they still believe the market for it is simply too small but judging by the popularity of this modification on forums like Rennlife then I think their marketing team needs a serious wake up call as they are way, way behind the curve on this issue.

Leawood911:Most certainly a GT3. A GTS makes no sense in comparison to the T.
Performance-wise, it makes a lot of sense. Also when it comes to sound (the GTS sounds amazing for a turbo charged engine). I wouldn't do it though, makes more sense to go for something more "exotic".

After 8.300 Km pure fun, the car goes to a friend´s home for the next years - he sold his beloved 996 and is now looking forward to have fun with the yellow-nipple-T.
Next week, I will get a new/used toy for my garage and the next season - after some fine tuning
I will post some pics of it - this car will be a keeper for years, like my good old 964 RS.

Goodbye yellow nipple Carrera T - welcome red nipple GT3 Touring.
After the quick sale of my T, I found a 991.2 GT3 Touring with folding bucket-seats and just 5.000 Km.
Last week the car got a front xpel foil-job, some stripes and the Blueflame-nipple-treatment.
Now it‘s ready for the 2019 season.
On thursday my M5-friend rented with me for one hour our local ADAC training area to feel the limits of our new cars - what a great evening.
Boy, I love this car...the 9.000rpm are crazy...
