    997 S -ordered!

    Hi guys ,this morning I ordered my new baby , a 997 S ,Black/Black interior

    The car is a german car with 5000 km , delivery 1 month (official Porsche zentrum).
    It seems RC twin ....

    options :
    full black leather
    PCCB
    -20
    adaptive sport seats
    navi sat
    phone
    tempostat
    green top
    roof
    Bose
    sport Chrono

    soon i'll order : yellow belts ,carbon (or yellow) tunnel ,lower shift ,sport exaust ...all tequipment options .....

    Thanks to all Rennteam members for sopportation ....expecially to RC !

    I have the car numbers (WPOZZZ....)it's possible to know the options installed and the production date?

    femminuccia, you should've get that GT3 at that price you've found it!

    Congrats!

    Well, it actually is the twin of my car because Porsche dealers in Germany got several cars with the same options.
    But no car makes it to customers before Oct. 17th, this is where I got pretty lucky to get a car which wasn't part of a dealer pool. I would even say that I'm the only person in Germany and maybe even worldwide who owns a 997 equipped with 20 mm chassis and PCCB right now.

    Tell me the last four digits of your VIN number and I can tell you more about your car, especially regarding the production date.

    femminuccia ! heheheh!! would u like gonig with me in a rainly day to the mugello track? eheheheh!! I love my psm ! this 997 will be my daily car like 996 , if i use a Gt3 daily(imho),in a mounth the car will be broken.
    i know my limits ...and limits of open roads .

    Rc ,I'll send U my VIN numbers asap .

    Maybe you or RC can tell me more about this, what does official Porsche zentrum mean? is that a dealer or from Porsche AG? what use do these cars have they had prior? I may be interested in bringing down from Germany such a car with very low milage preferably from Porsche themselves.

    Hi Carlos,

    Before you buy a car from Porsche, ask what they did with it before.

    This year we did a Porsche weekend organized by the Porsche Travel Club. We got NEW cars with about 50 km. And a lot of the participants revved up the cold engine like hell
    After that they did driving camps. All 5,000 km they need new tires! And all that one year long. And afterwards they sell these cars as normal 1 year used cars.

    Of course they say no problem. A Porsche needs that. But so I wonder why I have to break in my car?? See the owners manual: " [...] it cannot be completely avoided that the moving parts have to wear in with each other. This wearing-in occurs mainly in the first 2,000 miles/ 3,000 km."

    I would wait some more time and spend the extra money. It's worth it!!

    By the way. The weekend was great fun!

    Carlos, all official german dealers call themselves "Porsche Zentrum XXXXXX". But they are independent and privately owned, not owned by Porsche. Of course they have to follow very strict rules like same design of the building/showroom, same internet design, etc.
    Not to speak about technical equipment, etc.

    Porsche factory sales has some pretty interesting offers right now but of course mostly 996 models. I think I saw a 996 Turbo with powerkit, Turbo aerokit, PCCB and a lot of options with only 20000 km on the speedo. The price tag was something around 110000 Euro incl. 16% german VAT. CHEAP.
    I also saw a facelifted 996 C2 sealgrey with 20000 km for 65000 Euro. Again...pretty nice offer. All cars come with the Porsche used car warranty and this warranty is very good and can be extended as far as I know.

    Porsche factory sales also sells cars through official Porsche dealers (Porsche Zentrum) and every official Porsche dealer can get a car for customers from the factory sales car pool. Last time I visited Weissach, the parking lot in the back (not the visitor parking with the barrier!) was full of dozens of factory sales cars like 996 C4S, 996 Targa, Boxsters and 996 C2.     I visited another dealer today and he said that after Porsche had their salemen training at the California Speedway, all the cars were then shipped back to Germany. What happens to these cars?
