RC:911tts:So guys here is the date of the official launch: 28/11/2018.
German dealers are badly waiting for this car...
I suppose most dealers (or all) have already seen the final car by now.
What´s been their reaction to the new car? They like it? (from what you know)

This is the way this post ends, not with a bang but with a wisper, WOSHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Dealers love it but in the end, customers have to love it as well. There was an event (or it may still be going on) in the Middle East...

ISUK:waiting for PDK:The hood doesn't line up with the fender line on the bumper. A poor homage to the long noses or just annoying design?
Here is the 992.2 out testing
That looks superior to the longer bonnet found in the unmodified photograph. Having that panel longer looks stupid.

Remember they have to leave out little details to fix in the 992.2 . You want something that looks more missaligned than the 991.1 DRLs?
The bonnet gap misalignment hits my OCD worse than the 991.1 DRLs.

For anyone wondering how Porsche was inspired to include a traditional longer front hood on the 992...

That and the 993 make sense, but having the bonnet slightly cut into the front fascia is just weird, and wrong. Looking at the photographs and the bonnet cutline is positioned about one centimeter longer than that of the wings. A straight line would look infinitely better than that overbite.

The front looks very good however from the side, the rear looks a bit too bulky (aka it looks heavy), hopefully it is still clustered with camuflage parts.
That wing is definitely still hidden. Can it be electronically operated and/or an airbrake ?
I just can't get used to seeing that new rear lightstrip on the GT3...

Leawood911:Looks like the indent on the hood is more narrow on the GT3. I love that feature so I am focused on it when I see the new 992. Can I get that on my 997 hood? Lol.
Maybe the narrower indent on the GT3 hood is to match with a similar indent in the roof, like on the 'sold out' 911 R?

reginos:Boxster Coupe GTS:A few more pics of that 992 GT3 mule...
Probably a racing version of the 992 undergoing test.
The wing is too extreme and most probably unnecessary for a road-going GT3.
You don't really think that this is the final product do you? As with previous GT3 models, the wing on the test mule looks different from the real thing.

DaveGordon:I reckon those upper wing mounts are made of wood
Rather the lower wing mounts;
The reason that wings on cars are sometimes suspended rather than supported from the underside is that the underside of the wing delivers the most aerodynamic downforce. When using wing supports on the underside of the wing, the support has a large disruptive effect on the efficiency of the laminar airflow under the wing. The idea is that when you use supports on the upper side of the wing, you have the same disruptive effect, but on the upper side of the wing which contributes less to the downforce anyway.

Hi Joost! Thanks for the aerodynamics masterclass!
I hope that Andreas Preuninger can see how terrible it looks on a road car...
