@ blueflame: I understood that you would go for the GT3 as you intend to do more track km - why not looking for a winged GT3 Clubsport ?

Because I don´t want to drive with a big wing during our alpine tours...IMO this is too much.

A perfect solution would be a "plug+play wing" for trackdays... Smiley

But your´re right - with a used wing GT3 compared to a used Touring, I could save 20k€ - may be this is my choice for spring 2019..

Smiley Besides, the for me not affordable price, the car has something I don´t like 100%.

Yellow stitching all over it - seats, dashboard, doors - everything and black belts.

I would have ordered yellow belts and black stitching...more timeless in my opinion.

I will now invest in spring 2019 some money in my T - new Cup2s, a Liteblox-battery. After our alpine-tours and two trackdays, I will have a look again at the Touring prices.

Right now, everyday more Tourings are listed on Mobile.de - and my OPC will get also two more almost new Tourings back from their customers. It seems that the GT3 Touring does not fit to every user...

I know what you mean.. I went to look at a PTS Dark Viola Metallic 991.2 GT3 the other day.. Had a ton of options including PCCB, yellow stitching, belts, and lots of carbon. I'm normally a fan of deviated stitching, but for a dark-coloured car (in my case with black wheels as well), yellow stitching can be a bit much.

Porsche produced an unprecedented number of 991.2 GT3s and as soon as the 992 GT3 will appear the 991 GT3 will become far more affordable than it is today (it will depreciate). Look at what happened to the 991.1 GT3 RS. I think the Touring is a quite noisy car for a real daily use (vs a Carrera or Turbo) , someone might have bought one expecting the engine and chassis of the GT3 but with the comfort of a Carrera, this is what this car is not (imho). I like very much my GT3 but as a weekend car not as a daily driver.

blueflame, I'm not sure if this is something that will interest you but I came across it whilst looking into getting Houndstooth seat inserts in my targa. There is a UK Porsche trimmer who makes replacement covers for the LWB and bucket seats inserts that are interchangeable with the factory covers and are a DIY fit. He offers them in any Porsche fabric including the 3 colours of the T model's special pin stripe Sport-Tex material - red, yellow and grey. I don't know why Porsche did not offer this material on the bucket seat options from the factory but at least it is now possible to retro-fit in a fully reversible and simple manner.

Thanks for sharing - YouTube is currently piling up videos with these changes, which I think bring a nice visual enhancement to the sometimes dull and dark interior of the 911.

On my GT3 RS 991.2 I wanted do have the black inserts instead of the green ones that came with my lizard inside option . The answer from Porsche was that it is not possible . I mentioned that it was on the .1 and they answered back that on the LWB seats of the .2 it is not possible anymore to change the inserts Smiley

I am still not sure if they just lied to me because they did not want to it, or if they really changed something to the seats ..which I would find strange .... Smiley
