Dension has been working on that 'solution' for the fiber optic net for over 2 years.
they listed the fiber and normal solutions simultaneously about 2 years ago, and it only took them 2 months to come out with the normal one for the other porsche radios, but the fiber one doesnt look like its coming anytime soon.
no matter how many people sign up, its more of a legal issue than a technical issue.

Why would it be a legal issue? The MOST fiber bus is suppose to be a standard among German auto manufacturers. Each device on the bus is suppose to adhere to the standard unless Porsche has it own version.

you are absolutely correct felix, in the sense that MOST is a standard system
however, each manufactuer of systems on the bus, as well as each time each manufactuer makes something for an individual carmaker, there are proprietary codes and procedures used on the system which are copyrighted.
thus, it is niegh impossible for one company to justify the cost of development and licenseing of such products to the point where they could reach an audience that is profitable (multiple carmakers, multiple manufactuers).
so once again, the end user is screwed. i've been waiting for 2 years for an auxillary in solution that doesnt involve some sort of FM transmitter for my 03 Boxster S
however, since that didn't stop me from buying a 911 Turbo S cabriolet, and i doubt it stopped many other people from purchasing porsches, they really don't have a big incentive to change these 'standards' do they.

Hi dhayek, some help please, I cant find the option on the dealers list or within the brochure/ web site?? Was the module fitted at manufacture? if so what cost and product code?...thanks in advance

A TV option is not available yet for the 997.
And dhayek is right that there is a TV option available for the Cayenne but only for certain countries. For the US, the TV option is not available!

like rc said its available on the cayenne only ,and the option code is QV1 .i think the cost is around 1000euro..yes it is factory fitted
