the-missile:RC:Dude, just relax and enjoy the show.
The show is the word indeed.
trust me, this passport or not (which can only save the holder in very specific cases to overstep law), above 50+, if there is an ''OPJ'', you are good for 72h at the station and transfer of your license to the court and bye bye for the car till the judge decides. at best you will not stay 72h but that would mean direct call from your government to a very high level in administration...which is not going to happen for reckless driving speed.
we can give a try anytime you want I know people with the blue uniform. not the ones you met.
Dream on...

nberry:Picked it up yesterday. Only driven it 10 miles.
Only 10 miles? I would have driven the whole night with it.
What a beauty, congratulations and enjoy in good health.

Thank you all. I haven’t driven it to Starbucks yet but here are a couple of quick impressions after 50 miles.
The quality of the interior and exterior are excellent. Everything lines up perfectly and the materappear high quality.
The RS rides much stiffer than the .2GT3. Clearly it’s designed for track use more so than the GT3.
Since I haven’t taken it above 7000rpm’s, it’s difficult to feel the difference between it and the GT3 in power.
The steering feels slightly heavier than the GT3. Though it turns sharply you need to apply more pressure in doing so. You direct it and it doesn’t direct you. I like that.
The exhaust is marginally louder. Sounds more aggressive.
The PCCB brakes feel the same as steel. This may have been a $9000 mistake on my part.
The car attracts more attention than the GT3. Yesterday a policeman on a motorcycle pull alongside of me as we were driving and shouted LOVE THE COLOR. The styling cues on the RS really make standout over other Porsche’s.
So far I’m very happy withe the car. I need more seat time to fully appreciate what this car can do.
Finally, yesterday as I was paying for the car I was asked if I had an interest in the Spider. My response was a tepid yes depending on whether it’s a manual or offered in PDK.

Shame on you, Nick...we need that mandatory photo in front of a Starbucks. Greetings from my daughter, she wants you to hold a Cotton Candy Frapuccino in your hand. It is from their secret menu.

Keep the rev figures down, do a proper run-in, the engine will thank you (seriously). Don't listen to those who say you can rev it high immediately.

This could change once the brake discs and pads are "run in".

Are you sure you want to do that?

Nick,, I had the steels on my .1 GT3 but have the ceramics on my .2. For me the pedal feed back is far more apparent, compared to the steels, plus the ceramics perform better inspiring more confidenceis. I would have them now every time as I do not track. They look the part too, worth every £, for me..
I can’t remeber if you have come form the .1GT3 or the .2GT3 ?. The .2 engine is so much better with its extra pull and a peach of a engine. They are like comparing night and day..
Enjoy it, buddy..

I had both the .1 and .2 GT3. No doubt the engine in the .2 is way better than the .1. That said, at least for now if you drove the RS and .2GT3 back to back without knowing which one you were driving, you'll have difficulty distinguishing the RS from the .2 based on power.
I suspect you're right about the PCCB's. I'll have to drive the car more to appreciate the difference.
Christian, I'll salute your daughter with a Frappacino (mega calories) next time I'm in Starbucks.

Maybe you meant Speedster? Pretty sure this is Manual only. I think the Spyder is going to be coming too (but this is a version of 718 Boxster with 3.8L NA - this one might get a PDK option).

Thank you, Nick. 👍 Usually, my daughter doesn't eat anymore the rest of the day after such a calorie bomb but she says it tastes fantastic. 😉

Now that his car has arrived without tarrif and on time will he fall in love with Trump? That is the question. For a GT3 I could love Hillary.

Oops I did post in the wrong thread. My bad.
Grant, you’re right I meant Speedster.
Watt, I hope your right. Your input helped me to decide to get PCCB’s.
Christian, getting the car sooner didn’t just happen. I’m not at liberty to say anymore. I have known for sometime that I would be getting the car before the end of this month.

Mike, it’ll take a lot more for me to vote for Trump in 2020.

Congrats Nick on new flashy RS!
Seems like you are switching GT cars quite frequently lately. You are playing Porsche's game perfectly. Trade back a car within short time and guaranteed the next new toy.
I don't play this game well as I like to buy and keep.

I never ever said vote for. Not in my wildest dreams. Just love, as in your fellow human being. Cheers!!

Tim, you don’t know what you’re missing.
i usually keep a car for about one year. I enjoy the entire process of new car buying especially taking delivery. Thereafter, I immerse myself in the newness of the car and it’s upgraed performance features.
