Lancia Delta Futurista

Another interesting retromod, this time based upon the iconic Lancia Delta Integrale. It looks to have been done to a high standard and bucks the current market trend of getting rid of 3 door hatchbacks by turning the original 5 door into a sportier 3 door shell. With many manufacturers jumping onto this nostalgic and highly profitable bandwagon - Jaguar Land Rover with their Heritage operation, Aston Martin with the DB4 and DB5 re-runs, Porsche testing the water with Project Gold etc - I'm surprised that FCA did not exploit their own brand heritage by collaborating with the many automotive specialists in Italy to create their own Delta homage which would have netted them a tidy margin.

Very cool! Always wanted one - dream car in my teens indecision

By the time I could afford one I went sensible and bought a Golf VR6 instead. Very boring decision.

You also need a donor Scuderia to get it started , and about 600K to make the changes happen. Still just look at it, its amazing.

I had three Lancia Delta HF Integrale (incl. the Evoluzione 1 model) and was lucky enough to drive a Group N car for two years...wonderful car for it's time...if the tech worked. Smiley Smiley I remember how I "chased" those 911s, they stood no chance, especially since my street car had 280 hp and water injection, tuned by my mentor or better said his tuning shop (yeah, the GT2 RS has really innovative tech Smiley Smiley ).

I really miss the car to be honest, first car I was able to do wheelies in it (seriously).
