I find it interesting that they chose the 993 for this project. Among all the classics.
The 993 is a Turbo S alright, just like the 991 Exclusive edition, however, they could have done this to any other classic Porsche.

Not being road legal does put a dampener on this as a 70th birthday marketing exercise... particulary given the 993 is a great road car! 
Porsche must be seriously evaluating an acquisition of Singer... 
Singer has mastered the art of updating old 911 models using modern technology! 
I love the 993 turbo S but a Singer 911 4.0 is a dream car...

The choice of model is likely obvious to Porsche management as an emblem of continuity for the marque at the 70th anniversary. The buyer at this level of cost will find/make a driving venue if desired. Singer is not Porsche which will likely become apparent in the very long run.

You could possibly get around that lock out by requesting the historic version of the colour from the early 1970's which was shared with VW at the time. The modern version has a hint more bronze/brown to it.
I had some of the paint mixed up to do a spray card and speed shape colour trial when looking for a colour for PTS.

Having seen the new version on a car at my dealer I'd agree that the original is better Stefan. They've given the new one more of a leaning towards the Cognac colour they offered on the Panamera and less of a yellow look that the original has.

The colour I posted above was just called Metallic Green. I have the paint code somewhere but can't find it at present.
This car is Viper Green Metallic. It is a brighter green with a stronger hint of yellow to it. I think it would look good on a GT3 Touring, especially if you went with the bright aluminium window trim surrounds. The old colours look good on the early 911's because of the contrast with all the brightwork. The modern 991.2 has none of that so can end up looking like a slab of colour with not enough relief detailing to break it up.
I think if I was ordering PTS on a GT3 Touring and wanted green I'd find it hard to ignore Oak Green Metallic. It gives the car a very elegant but purposeful look at the same time.
