    Re: Panamera interior shot

creased hood monotone black still doesn't do it. it is in batmobile clothes in your shot

    Re: Panamera interior shot

I think the shot Spyderidol posted is actually closer to the real thing. The hood in your pic looks like camo. There is also more camo around the LEDs in your pic.

    Re: Panamera interior shot

Yes, see how the corners of the hood are square in the second picture and how they are "rounded" in the first picture? Much more like the real thing in the first picture.

How can you tell from this kind of pic?

    Re: Panamera interior shot

you can read the labels on the buttons well in this picture:

    Re: Panamera interior shot

6 of the buttons on each side of the gear shift are for the seats How could a designer come up with such bad ergonomics on a clean sheet design??

    Re: Panamera interior shot

Notice the second button from the bottom on the left side. Looks like this car will have adjustable ride height.

    Re: Panamera interior shot

And on the right side the last button shows a spoiler lift.

And the first one on the right side from the bottom seem to manually operate the pop up expandable spoiler. Am I the only one who can't locate a traditional parking brake, no?

No the top 3 are for ventilation direction (up-straight-down) for each side (driver and passenger).

    Below are the heated seats.

    Re: Panamera interior shot

Seems like this impression was spot on, look at the hood:

    Re: Panamera interior shot

I hope that his impression of the back is not correct .

Still six buttons for seat controls on a centre console. That's plain nuts, especially when 4 of them are for ventilation if you are correct. The Generation 2 997 has two seat related buttons on the centre console - one for seat heating and the other for ventilation. The Panamera set up makes i-drive look sensible all of a sudden (and it's much improved in the new 7 series and even drawing some faint praise in the motoring press). That centre console around the gearshift just looks a mess IMHO and you can see how ugly the blanks look on the RHS of the shifter

This pic seems to have less camo than other mules we have seen. Several areas are still taped up but painted panels are becoming obvious versus cladding.

    Re: Panamera interior shot

Centre console does indeed look like my Vertu...

I like porsche iDrive system very much! Just a square white box with a little red pushbutton... very stylish!

Nahhh, That's iPhone integration kit .

To be honest, I kind of like the interior and its layout .

    Re: Panamera interior shot

the shifter looks like something out of a terminator movie

    Re: Panamera interior shot

Another overdone ugly sedan. The interior is gaudy. BMW makes great sedans, with great interiors, their external looks notwithstanding, and that is it.

Actually this is the self destruct button if the mule gets spotted!

    Re: Panamera interior shot

Seriously though, the interior is crap and I'm sure the exterior isn't far behind on the ugly meter.

I don't see it your way. They put all buttons on the wide middle console in a logical sorting and freed the dashboard. Nothing wrong with this IMO. I am not saying it is anything brilliant but on the other hand it is not in bad taste.

Also I like how the wide and deep middle console surrounds and isolates the driver creating a cockpit effect.

    Re: Panamera interior shot

A Porsche should be a class leader in looks, performance, and technology. The panamera is a luxury performance sedan.

The interior should be a mix of metals, wood, and leather, no plastic, no vinyls. It should flow with curves, not perpidicular, angled surfaces.

The controls should be voice activated with integrated hud displays, not a 1960's tv screen and more buttons than a nuke station.

Yup and the sad part is they have done better, all this time in the maling and it is amateurish.

The 928 has the most comfortable, ergonomic, functional, flowing cockpit in any car i have sat in. I have sat in most.

    Re: Panamera interior shot

a nice drivers cockpit, just a few big buttons, no need to divert eyes

    Re: Panamera interior shot

the best woodworkers in the biz, no vertical surface, but too many buttons

    Re: Panamera interior shot

2nd best woodworkers, best mix of all elements

    Re: Panamera interior shot

    More Aston Pics please racerx
Persoanlly I think the last gen interior for DB9/V8 is more minimalistic and better than the current DBS style that is on the whole range. Better to get rid of all visible ford/volvo parts ASAP though.
