Grant:That will look great! One word of advice - leave them at home when you go to the track (had one pop off last time). Also, you can easily check that the center locking mechanism has popped out (correctly) when track driving, without the cap blocking the view.

Me and Dave noticed a few cars last time at the track with a missing cap .
It never happened to me nor to him and we have done quite a few track days over the last 3 years
Don't you need a special tool to take them off ?

The car includes the special tool - you will find it inside the center lock socket under the cover in the front storage area (the part you remove to access things like the battery and brake fluid). Under a round plastic cap on driver's side of the car. Takes only a few seconds to remove and replace the car (unlike the center-locks themselves).

911tts:You must not drive without a cap, because dirt can come inside and do damage. You can find this info in owners manual of yours Porsche too
Well, then I strongly recommend cleaning the inside of the cap and area where it seats with alcohol before a track day. Any moisture in there will expand with temperature and pop off the cap when driving (you'll never find it - at least I didn't).

Center locks... no functional advantage, but at least they look cool... until they pop off Not to mention the need to drive around with a 1.5 meter torque wrench in the passenger seat
I'll walk out and admire the five lug bolts on the GTS now...

I am no fan of center locks for sure, but just to be clear, I am talking about the little plastic dust cap that says "GT3". The actual center-lock did not pop off or I wouldn't be here

It spits flames indeed, I haven't seen it myself but a friend following me at night told me 'my car was on fire' (he's not a car person).

900 km . From the drive trains, suspensions , steering and engine , the whole car feels just a bit better in every aspect compared to .1
Can't say too much about the engine as not finished the break in . The biggest difference are the suspensions . Firmer but at the same time they absorb the bumps better
