Nothing, I actually owned an 03"S" for 4 years and loved it.
I just hate it when Porsche advertises these special editions they way they do and then people believe the hype, putting us into an endless spiral of pointless special editions without much substance.

IMO it is neither good nor bad and if Porsche manage to sell some extra cars why not do it?

Because they frequently name these not-so-special-editions after historical models that are much more significant. Agree that it's a good value, but cynical marketing and not fair to their history.

Let's face it, they are really "value editions". If they came in the color combination I wanted, I would have ordered one as they are a great value as compared to ordering a regular edition with the same options. What is a bit offensive to me is that they are using "RS" and other significant Porsche designations for cars that are merely well optioned. In this instance "Design Edition", they are not using a vaunted designation, and some should take advantage of the savings, because when the FL model is introduced next year, there will not be "value editions" for quite some time.
