I still don't understand why a GT3 Touring Cab would be a slippery slope?
I suggest to skeptics to take the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder for a spin...amazing fun.
Actually when I read stuff like this, I realize why some GT models drivers are all talk but no driving skills. They want to look cool in the car but only a few can really handle it at the limit. Maybe they are afraid that people would think less of their "race" models if there is a cab but newsflash, the current GT models have less in common with their racing counterparts than my R8 everyone is making fun of. 😂😎

Porsche are turning the GT3 into the new GTS (as a 2 seater)
Luckily, they will introduce the new GT3 RS Clubsport Leichtbau above the current GT3 RS...

For me GT convertible is super cool, don't get me wrong
it is just that this car will not be released, it is poor journalism, as the one coming is the speedster with 1948 units and this is one of the development cars.
long live all variants of GT cars. but with a wing.

1948 cars is already good numbers but super expensive it will be don't read to much poor newspaper which are desperate to get clicks

I think the only problem would be in if they choose to give it the GT3 name, that wouldn't be right because a cabrio has nothing to do with a GT3 concept, it would be a mistake to try to associated it with anything GT3, but if they give it another designation like with the speedster, I don't see why there would be any problem at all.
On the contrary, in today's times when all the models (save GT3) are turbocharged even down to the Carrera, the high reeving NA sounding engine of the GT3 is the one that makes the most sense on a Cabrio where you can hear it best as opposed to a muffled turbo engine.

Yes, and if this model is then finally being offered, the hell will break loose requesting delete options for rear seats, aircon, convertible, sound system, manual,...., to get a "more driver focussed and back to the roots car"...I think the silly season this year is already lasting far to long...
