Come to think of it, at least I know the reason for this...

you can have tenth's of a second, even a second, imperceptible, but beauty and sound are unmistakeable.

as much as I like to agree with you, I can't overlook reliability, performance, resale value... which brings me to ferrari as the best compromise (scuderia october factory delivery)...

That should be a blast, can't argue performance there, but let me know when you have 23 years and 78K on the scud and we'll talk reliability.

23 years and 78k later, my Scud will be worth some nice money, and still running strong... I think you should go on www.ferrarichat.com and see that there are MANY older ferraris still running great

I don't want to dispute Ferrari reliabilty but generally Ferraris cover very few miles in a given period of time. Moreover they are rarely used as normal transport with all the stresses that this would put on the car, but mostly as a pleasure machine, like say a boat. Therefore, no valid conclusions can be drawn about overall reliability.

you really need to log on the ferrarichat site and see the miles some guys are putting on their ferraris... and OH! it will surely out-live and out-value any Aston, with all the love and respect I have for Astons...

I doubt it too. He generally recycles one of his old posts we have read here so many times before on occasions like this. It's an old rennteam tradition.

Ahhh, Fritz my man, have you no shame? The tradition of recycling is exemplified by no one other than you. Whereas I have agreed with some of your post, I don't believe there is one post of mine where you even partly agreed with.

Since you bring up the subject, Nick, there have been quite a few posts of yours that I have been inclined to agree with. Unfortunately, they are the ones on the subject of the Middle East on the Off-Topic Board. I do follow posts on that board, but try to resist the temptation to join in with my own opinions. I do not think that an internet forum lends itself to the discussion of such serious, complex and - in a literal sense - life-or-death topics.
Now, where the subject of cars is concerned, your posts weirdly appear to lack the analytical, balanced objectivity shown by some of your views on the Palestinian situation. This wouldn't be deliberate mischief on your part, would it?

Rather, you recycle the tiresome claim that unless you own a Porsche, all other cars are for poseurs. This argument is used when someone has no facts to back up what is being discussed. But I must remind you that I do own a Porsche (truck that is). Nevertheless, it is a Porsche.

Nick, I do not say that anyone who does not drive a Porsche is a poseur. I have however frequently noticed and remarked on the fact that the characteristics that you profess to look for and are inclined to praise in a car are those that would enhance its poseur-value, but not its "driving performance" in the various possible interpretations of that term. I value a car as a machine, you appear to value it as a bauble. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

    Marwan,

I am familiar with fchat, know some owners, driven a stradale, but I must agree with Reginos that very few F cars have ever been truly tested mileage wise. Though nowadays ferrari quality is right up there.

    enjoy yours

    Re: Article scan requested

Yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I find Maserati GT or Alfa 8C looks way better than the Aston.
