    If Ferrari wouldn't do this California the next F430 would be less hardcore = not good

    And when there wouldn't be a high-volume Calfornia, they would need to sell a lot more F142 = not good

    If the California would look awesome and extreme, there wouldn't be much room for the F142 left = not good

    The front half of the car reminds me very much of the 550/575M. I like this car.

    This car is clearly Ferrari's effort to appeal to an aging enthusiast group (myself included) who would enjoy a more muscular alternative to the MB SL formula and commonality. The car is well suited to our South Florida climate and driving environment (purely Gran Turismo), and my wife would approve of the California in a heartbeat, not so the F430. The metallic blue suits the car well. I will most likely have to wait for a discard from a "real" Ferrari customer, but I will look forward to the Paris debut nonetheless.

    I really like the side view with the top up.
    4.5m also sounfd prommising, as do 1.9m width.

    Black with gold scud rims for me.
    Like on that photoshop.

    Maybe somebody will do the closed roof side pic in that style this tim too.

    Definitely, Barbie's car. A Japanese Barbie, that is!

    To me it sound like an old movie plot: a young american soldier with german origins, while serving in an US Army base in Japan fells in love with a beautiful japanese girl. Their kid is the Japanese Barbie Not that is something wrong with that. I was forced to see the Titanic movie by my girlfriend after all

    @BiTurbo. Lightwight yes - but manual shift... I think you will never see a manual shift any more. The new double-clutch shift systems are working very fast and efficient. The manual shift is a relict from the history (unfortunatley - i love them too).

    Heavy as it is, the Californicator is "lightweight" in comparison to the BMW M3 Convertible - which is at least 250kg more? That is an achievement in itself...
