The GT2 looks good next to the 599, small and nimble, like that!

Absolutely That's what I like of Porsche as well: small, understated and extremely refined and fast. The GT2 is a phantastic car

From a few meters to 75 meters now. Believe what you like. I stand by what I said. Guaranteed.

What do you mean? You know, over here we do high-speed runs with sports cars on regular basis. We don't restrict ourselves to calculations. We DO the REAL tests

    Markus,

    I don't!

If MKSGR is a mod, that means every GTR thread will be deleted from now on

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

    Thanks for the write up!

What a stable the Rennteam-mods are gathering, congratulations!

Congratulations indeed! I only have one request, Markus. Use your powers as much as possible!

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

Bremsplatten - how about "flat spots"

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

Thank you all for your kind words

Now, where are all these GTR threads again Just kidding

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

Very insightful comparison and beautiful 599GTB, whereas I am normally not sold on 1)its look and 2)black cars in general.

P.S: I think it is a very good choice to have you as a Rennteam moderator.

and that means : no criticism on HvS

    Markus,

    Nice review.

How do you like Bucket seats on Gt2?

I knew I missed an important point

The bucket seats are excellent. Surprisingly comfortable - even for long distances

Did some 500kms in the GT2 yesterday (5 hours in total). Even over that long distance the bucket seats are great. Quite remarkable that, I would never have thought that unadjustable seats could be that comfortable...

Do you think if the person is fairly large (~95kg) that they would still fit?

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

Just bought those gt2 seats for my tt. Arriving (finally!) tomorrow. Do you know if they are heated?

I think so. 95kg should be still OK

    Unfortunately, no heating available

But that's pretty much the only downside!

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

Uuups. That will be an issue in ldn in the winter. Anyway, hope it's worth it for the 20kgs or so of weight saving vs the adaptives..

Would be a good idea to get the car with the adaptives. You can still retrofit the buckets, but it doesn't work the other way around.

Re: GT2 vs 599GTB test summary

You guys really use the seat heating function in your cars?
Must be those old bones need preheating...

But then, maybe it's just a little warmer in Croatia than on a wet, exposed rock in the North Atlantic.
