Re: Official! - More images added

    Okay,

does anybody have information that goes beyond the well-spread subjects?

The engines are not only modified to incorporate DFI but have some pleasant modifications as well. After all the different cylinders (size, bore x diameter) might make the car even more eager to throttle inputs.

    The prices for Germany:
    Carrera Coupe: 83.032 Euro
    Carrera Conv.: 93.980 Euro
    Carrera S Coupe: 93.980 Euro
    Carrera S Conv.: 104.928 Euro

Since Bi-Xenon headlights are standard on the base model, what justifies the price difference for the S? I suppose leather interior is standard by now. For the essential Porsche feeling the base Carrera might be well suited, especially due to the bigger brakes and upgrades that used to be featured on the S-model only so far.

I do not know am I the only one BUT... Why puddles like Rossi said

Porsche is expecting that PDK car owner will either use THUMB for changing gears on the steering wheel or even better to drive in D model all the times ...

No real paddles! Big, big mistake IMHO...

i am with you %100 on this one. i was excited about pdk but the buttons ruined it for me.

Re: Official! - More images added

Facelift? Ho hum...., now I'm bored.

All we got are some lousy tail lights, steering wheel, wheel wheels; paddle-less PDK, prolly a few interesting cosmetic options... .

The only things I feel I missed out on are the finally-non-Beta PCM and the nearing-decent HP/tq (if I still had an S).

Re: Official! - More images added

    everything perfect....

    but...

    i would like the PADDLES!!! $@%@#$"%*&"*&%"#%" !!!

this thumb buttons are just not practical!

agreed. i have high hopes for the FL GT3. more power, less weight, DFI......
if the PDK were to become paddles which i doubt, i would consider that. if not, manual will suit me just fine. going to put a deposit down soon.

Re: Official! - More images added

I would say give the thumb puddles a chance, I believe they will be faster and more intuitive to operate than finger paddles like the ones I have used on a CS.

My everyday car is a manual and it is a pita. My 928 auto shifts perfectly matching the engine design under full throttle. That allows me to concentrate on the road, handling, and the thrill of it. I second Carrera tt.

    Those wheels look interesting.

Re: Official! - More images added

    the 7th gear is OVERDRIVE!!

    MAX SPEED in 6TH!!!

Re: Official! - More images added

    Reason paddles materialized into buttons?

My _amateur_ guess is they deemed it too expensive to redesign the steering column components for proper paddles.

All they wanted to do was make a PDK-fitted steering wheel fit the "stock" column.

But racerxhas a point: give them a chance.

Funny though because my SMG BMW paddles are circling around in a quick turn and I have no trouble catching them; I can't imagine trying to hit the buttons _inside_ the perimeter as the wheel spins.

Yeh, so much for the proper road use of a steering wheel where you are meant to 'feed' the wheel (as per UK driving test).

This means locking your hands in a set position, as per more on a race track.

Re: Official! - More images added

Yours will be in the post..... Came from Porsche UK not the dealer...

Re: Official! - More images added

Mine came from the dealer??? Or at east it came with a letter (standard asking if Iwanted one - errr...duh!) from the dealer.

    Will read it properly later.

Re: Official! - More images added

_EVENTUALLY_ we might be able to download a brochure.

Try here in a few days (weeks? months?).

Check it out now anyway; might be something you'd like to download for your Porschephile file.

Click "models" for stuff to DL.

Yeah..., right..., "read it;" I also get the full-color brochures just for the "articles."

    (joking)

i really hope the coin slot is not there for cars without the phone option and looking at the comparison of the 3 cars arses I think the FL definately looks better, although not by much....

I agree! The changes are for the most part "form follows function" - larger cooling grates, paddles/stick as it should be (intuitive), not what SMG sequentials (which are counter-intuitive).

The front is balanced and is not like a Boxster. Yes, the functional openings are the same across the line - Carrera/TT/Cayman/Boxster. So what?

Yup! Gotta know at least what's in the brochure to call yourself a Porschephile

Speaking of my observation that the cars has gotten a bit less "macho:" How do you explain this confident woman and her new facelifted Carrera? Released in the first hours of introduction!

    LOL!

    POWER BABE ALERT!!!

NOW we KNOW why the car looks more feminine!!! LOL!

Re: Official! - More images added

I love the FL. If all we've got to say is that we don't like the buttons versus the paddles, then I think they did a pretty good job. And wouldn't most of us be getting the manual anyway? :-)

Re: Official! - More images added

    That ain't a chick - thats a dude!

Re: Official! - More images added

It must look much better in person. The rear lights look a bit odd and the front doesn't seem much better. Perhaps someone is trying too hard to appeal to women buyers?

    The wheels look very nice!

Re: Official! - More images added

The way i feel about it is that it looks more 'retro'.. The leds make it look more as an 993 model, which is great! Can't wait to see it IRL!
