Good find trundle, curious if we'll see that on the FL. Paulo, I think I'll just be off to the pub, When I'm sober again... wow, good news, FL pics! ;-)

The date on the Doc indicates June 03, 2008. I wonder if this is something that we'll see in 991 model .

    Re: New Spoiler Possible???

All good things must come to an end.

100 page of thread is enough .

    Re: New Spoiler Possible???

Ron - lets get the 2000 posts full!

The spoiler patent is indeed a great catch. I'm kind of curious if we really going to find this in the 997 or in the successor.

Thinking about, that I started this thread 2 years ago, where the facelift was already all the way there, I assue that the successor is ready in any garage around Zuffenhausen already, too.

So - kind of curious to see the spoiler on the 997/2 or not.

    Re: New Spoiler Possible???

Guys - did you recognize that Super Sport Button... what the hell.....

    Re: New Spoiler Possible???

Launch control and race track gear shift strategy....

but why they still don't realise that changing manually with the stick is not ergonomical to change up by pushing but by pulling the lever?!?!?!?

It is a matter of habit. I drive daily a Smart ForTwo where you change up by pushing and I've not had any intuitive problems.

I have the same car in the company, but try once a BMW that does it the other way round and you will understand me. Under strong acceleration like a Porsche does it, not the smart, you will understand the difference. How easy is the pull things under acceleration than to push them.

Check this out if you haven't already

    Re: 997 facelift

Simple, imagine you accelerate and are pushed back into your seat, to push the gear selector forward requires a doubling of effort. The reverse is true when you brake of course.
You might find it counter-intuitive at 1st, but there is a reason the above described method is used in racing!
For God Sake, who in P allowed this to happen?

    Let's do it .

    Re: New Spoiler Possible???

ok guys... we reached the goal of over 2000 replies and almost 150.000 watches within one thread. I think this is a real superlative and shows how active our forum runs.

We've been the first printing official facelift pictures two years before the car made it to the shops.

Today its a pleasure to close this thread and I'm sure we keep on going discussing those questions in separate threads!
